Battlefield 1 Early access,Road to Battlefield 1 streams (BF1 prior release thread)

Anyone else trying to find a game, not finding anything. then pressing cancel, only to have the game stuck on the picture of the earth? (PC)
 
With so many shooters out in the next few months, I was going to let this one pass me by. But as it's WW1 and I'm so burned out on modern/future shooters, I thought I'd give it a go. Have to say that the prologue and what I've played of the campaign so far is one of the best single player FPS experiences I've ever had. Outstanding quality.
 
Played the first campaign section that we've already seen in gameplay videos, so much fun. I'm going to use my 10 hours on multiplayer though because I don't want to hit the single player wall before the release date.

Nope. Seems an odd omission. Does it increase the download size or something? Was looking forward to seeing this in HDR too.

@It will not be available at launch. However, EA and DICE is committed to supporting HDR on PS4 Pro/Xbox One.
 
Has anyone else seen ridiculously low ping in matches? At one point I checked mine and it was 13ms, with most of the other players' being in the same range.
 
Just tried the PC trial now and hooooooooly shit, what a difference playing on a mouse made for me. Fao Fortress, defended the castle from people trying to sneak in and shelling the ever loving shit out of the nearby points with a field gun on top of the castle itself (managed to nail a boat once, in addition to beaning a few people laying in the dirt). Think I like using the gas grenades, it's pretty great for forcing people to fight me in a hip firing fight. I think once I have a shotgun, that'll be my go to tactic. I'm sad the trial is only ten hours lol.

I had a ping of 04 and 07 last night.... My buddies was 07 also, servers have been really good for me.
 
So I can not get my trial to work on the X1... just says Install which I already had done through my pre order. How are you all getting the update to show up? Been trying for over a day...
 
Only six hours left. :(

Finished Mud and Blood, I’m surprised that was a lot better than I was expecting. It was better than anything they’ve done recently.

- You want weapon/gadget switching off your keyboard so you don't compromise your movement. I have gadget 1 and 2 on the mouse wheel up and down and switch weapon on my thumb mouse button.
- Sprint on toggle instead of hold.
- Crouch toggle and prone on hold on "C" for example or another key of your liking instead of using one key for both.
- Try to keep "Full map", "Firing mode" and "Map zoom" on easy to access bindings, map awareness is key on BF games and switching to single firing/auto, etc, can help you win fights if you're able to switch fast on the go.

That's a really interesting idea. I've been using the 'd-pad' for the item and weapon selection, but this setup sounds a little more streamlined.

I think dice said it would be coming in an update after launch, but people seemed to have forgotten that aspect. Can't blame them, just thirsty for that HDR.
 
Just watched the most hilarious BF stream ever .The official Road to Battlefield had a very special guest today ,one and only OG Snoop Dogg.Poor guy is a terrrible player ,or maybe it was the chronic.

I was watching xFactor his stream. Poor Snoop haha. Terrible player going up against Battlefield veterans and then they give him a controller also haha,

From what I've played the campaign has potential to be pretty sick. It's almost surreal playing the game on PC with that fidelity and 60fps.
 
So what do I have to do to actually play this trial. Have EA Access.. game is pre ordered.. when I try to play it says I am too early. I look in the EA app and it says coming soon.. I click details and takes me to the store which says Install.. yet all that does is.. nothing.

I have even deleted everything and re download and nothing is working. On the X1 and could use some help.. This is up for all EA Access people correct?

I had this same issue. I had preordered the ultimate edition and it wouldn't launch the game or show as available in EA Access. Someone on here mentioned to go to the store, find the standard version, and look for the free trial there. This got me on the right track, as it wasn't in that link, but in the standard version that is listed as part of the ultimate bundle. I was able to launch it from there.
 
Anyone else notice that they greatly toned down the gas grenade effect on X1 since the beta? It's too bad, I loved the way it looked.
 
My God does physics feel wrong in this game or what... Overall it's nice to see old tanks and stuff but it just looks so surreal from time to time.

Played 2 hours of campaign so far and it didn't blew my mind but still plays better than previous ones.
 
Almost used up my trial but I'm enjoying the game very much. Favorite to least favorite levels would be St. Quentin's Scar, Suez, Amiens and then Fao Fortress. St. Quentin's Scar is easily my favorite multiplayer level in recent memory and I especially adore the contrast between the war-torn area and the peaceful village. Beautiful visuals too. It's gonna be a long wait till the 18th for me.

Hummmm well I have just the standard edition installed. On the store page it says "install".. which does nothing. I will look for another page to see if it's there when I get back home. Appreciate the response.
 
To be honest the prologue and first mission aren't great but virtually anything is fun for a while with that sound design and graphics.
