Since I was a little kid I fell in love with the Mustang so today after almost fucking up pretty bad earlier this year(Look for my other thread lol) I bought it!

Is a used 6 speed manual 2016 Ecoboost Mustang with only 5k miles in it! I know is not a gas guzzler V8 but fuck it I don't plan to drag race it or resell it a year after(I plan to keep this car minimum 7 years). I decided to opt out of the premium because I don't care about the leather seats or the driving modes. It has a performance package though.

The first two things I want to add to my car is a navigation system with a touch screen and better speaker because the stock ones are kinda shit.

What you guys recommend for an audio system? Should I add more than 4 speakers? amps? I want a decent sound but I don't want some fancy shit out of a fast and furious movies but I also don't want some shitty speakers from walmart. Any ideas?

Can't help you with the advice you seek but good going on finally obtaining your dream car.

Don't mind the people that are going to criticize your purchase tho. When my buddy purchased his Mustang he got tons of flack from friends which I don't understand at all.

Grats. I hear fantastic things about it. And I admire the sheer number of buttons on the steering wheel - reminds me of a gaming mouse.

As for adding a head unit, I strongly suggest you wait till Black Friday and get something with Carplay and Android Auto. It will vastly improve the number of entertainment and nav options you have while driving, on top of whatever's built into the unit you buy. I've been shopping those for my wife's car and they are all above $500 right now, but coming down rapidly (Black Friday will have bargains galore) - Pioneer and JVC/Jensen likely going to be your best bets. As for speakers, you have a ton of options and it's pretty subjective.

Congrats, I have a few more cars on my list I wish to acquire. Not a Ford guy, but what about the stock nav? I think Ford has started implementing android/Apple play into their systems to integrate your phone. Might be worth looking into to keep the dash flowing together.

This reminds me I need to start budgeting and setting money aside for my future car. I'm pretty sure I want a Tesla.

Man this thread just made me anxious, I just had all the paperwork delivered to my dealership for a brand new 2017 Jeep Renegade, I'm sure everything will be ok, but still... Exciting times.

Stay away from large groups of people! I heard some Mustangs have an issue where they autopilot themselves into crowds.

But really.. Congrats on the car!

Congrats op. I know everyone thinks Mustangs are shit but I can't help but love them either. They've got a look and personality that most cars don't.

Congrats, OP.

One of my relatives got a Mustang a few years ago, but sadly it turned out to be a turd/lemon. It was like every other month there was some new issue with it. Eventually he gave up and traded it out for a Toyota.

How much did you pay, OP, that sticker looks high for a used 16. That's a grand less than a brand new 17.

Yay you got your Rustang! Welcome to the club!

Though I still prefer the body style of my 2014 over the new ones. Also Ruby Red Metallic is the best color.

Congrats OP.

When I'm done with my undergrad and grad school (about three years). I will gift myself my dream car, a Corvette. Specifically...a C6 Z06.

Supercar performance that's cheaper to insure than a Corolla lol.
I'm not kidding.

Honestly, I think the 2000's Mustangs look the best.
Christ no, recent Mustang redesigns have finally corrected many of the mistakes the mid-2000 models made. Mustangs of that era had terrible suspension and spun out constantly. I drove a 2007 up until this year and I never felt comfortable driving in a light rain.

I'm trying to sell my 13' GT. The A/C just completely died (which after looking up, is a very common issue with this generation) and the control arms still creak like an old wooden ship after being replaced under warranty twice.

Does your A/C still work?

Yeah. Have never heard of that issue, hm.
