Nintendo doesn't want to focus on things they can't sell right now on holiday season. Also November and December are very crowded months with big releases so Switch news could end up lost in the crowd.Kinda fuckin weird... Why so far away?
2 months isn't very long to generate hype. It sounds cool but I'm not sold until I hear some more soldiers news.
And now they have TMS for Nintendo. They should do a TMS2 for switch.Wonder how most Persona fans would feel about a mainline game being on a Nintendo console. It's always been very associated with the Playstation brand.
Give us each day our daily hype
Isn't Persona 5 on PS3 so it's not crazy
Hm.
Exactly the date I guessed and 11 days before the famous Wii U January Direct.
I wonder if we'll see similar things announced this year that were announced that year~

They should start a countdown beginning on New Years with a teaser each day on social media. Blurry pictures or something like that. That would be great.
Announcing games two months before their release ?
Sounds like a good plan if you want them to bomb.

So is this pre-recorded?
And guessing their Nintendo Direct branding is gone now?
That whole thread happened because FFXIII that was assumed to be an exclusive PS3 game was also announced for the 360. So it's a similar scenario if P5, an exclusive PS game, gets announced to other platforms.
I doubt P5 port to Switch will happen though. But who knows? That will be one crazy day at GAF if it happens lol.

Launch games will sell to hardcore/early adopters regardless.
Weren't you complaining they should show everything RIGHT NOW?
This is a livestreamed conference from the Tokyo Big Sight, the largest convention center in the country. It'll be followed by a two day open public demo fest.
Ugh, two and a half months away? Would be nice if Nintendo could drip fed us smaller nuggets of information until then, like screenshots, small videos, hints at games, etc.
With a live event like this, they kind of had to announce it early because people would find out about it anyway via press invites and venue bookings. As expected. I can't wait. Is this the earliest in advance Nintendo has ever announced a Direct-like event?
They are cutting it kinda close, no? I mean its coming out in March. I fear its going to get delayed until 2017 holiday.

We have all dem leaks to look forward to until then and honestly, with the holidays coming up the time will fly.
Depends. I feel like there'll be some bomba, especially for 3rd parties late ports.
First live Nintendo presentation in quite some time!

I might not even be fucking alive then.
And I think people are getting too hung up over the 'presentation' wording. Pretty sure they've used that word interchangeably with the 'Directs' loads of times in the past.
Yes, and it's exactly what I just did right now ?
Sorry but I feel like announcing a game two months before its release will lead to terrible sales for games not called Zelda, Mario or Splatoon.
Since they're doing a live presentation I hope they go all out with smoke machines and surprise guests.
Smoke machines are old hat. Today it's all about lasers and holograms!
Late ports will be very exciting for the Switch.
You'll get to play games on the go that you never thought you could.
