PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

What's next after the PS4 Pro, I'm sure there's another version better than this one, eventually that is Not PS5.

By the time a new console is needed, it might as well be a PS5 regardless. They aren't going to reuse Jaguar again after this.

I wanna fuck that box

Oh yess .. less than 2 weeks away !

Any chance places like GameStop get stock earlier than the release date ? and let people take their in-store pre orders ? :p anyone had any luck with things like this in the past ?

Huh, so would MS be ready to release the next Xbox 2 years after Scorpio? I wonder what impact the Scorpio has on that sort of thing. As others have pointed out, it would be in MS' best interests to release around the same time as Sony because of the overlap between their systems. I think Sony should continue releasing around the same time as well but they would be able to better manage if they did release afterward.

Actually they could or Dell & other companies could because when the platform basically becomes UWP it will not be tied down to hardware.

Xbox Anywhere means Scorpio can fall flat & MS can still sell the games that was made for it even if people don't actually have a Xbox Scorpio. they could have the next Alienware console & it wouldn't really matter to Microsoft as long as it has Windows 10 or higher on it .

The only real question is will 3rd party follow the plans

Would zen on an APU realistically need a process shrink to offset the increased size? looking forward to what that might be - decent 8 core performance, 4K HDR as a baseline (perhaps still using checkerboard rendering as an efficient option), further VR optimisations on the GPU perhaps

Are there titles that are actually going from 30FPS to 60FPS?

"Support for faster framerates" seems like kind of a hollow promise.

"PS4 Pro does not support 4K Blu-ray discs. PS4 Pro provides auto-scaling for Standard Blu-ray discs." It still hurts Sony....

I'll upgrade until I really see how support is done a week after it's out. Hopefully DF do extensive anaylsis

Why are people talking about ps5? Lol it will most likely be till 2019 for an announcement with a 2020/2021 release date. Sony isn't in a rush to leave their PS4 user base behind

I've started looking at how I can rearrange my furniture to fit a 4K TV. I might wait to see what CES brings in terms of TVs - especially where OLED goes, and if full array backlighting gets more widespread for LCD.

faster framerates doesn't have to mean double the FPS.

It means what it says, faster FPS.

In general, we won't see APU's until mid 2017 with Zen according to Lisa Su, and further semi custom solutions until later, so i could not tell you.

But we have 3 years till PS5, so i'm sure they will figure it out by then :P

No way they wait that long.

No way they wait that long.

Oh yea you're right they'll release the pro now, then waste all the effort by announcing ps5 in 2017 with a 2018 release? They barely released any of their big AAA titles on PS4! GoW4 is a late 2017 early 2018 title. GTsport is finally releasing. Why will Sony suddenly want to rush the ps5? Just because suddenly MS has a strounger console? Sony is good till 2020 for ps5 I'm sure

Not soon enough!! If these things are already being sent to stores why in the sodding hell are we waiting another 13 days!?!?

There will be stores that will break the release date since they will just treat it as a normal ps4. I am away at the moment so I have to wait anyway until after release date.

Destiny won't be 60fps they can't do that since OG runs at 30.

Destiny ain't receiving any pro patch or upgrade at all iirc.

Check out the hype regarding the new Panasonic OLED's being released next year.

I want one so bad.

Cause they are focusing on destiny 2 :P

I hope so! As much as I would love a pro patch, to be honest, the game holds up insanely well as is.

1080p here. I'm waiting a year or 2 to jump into 4k

Yeah same here, we finally get good enough hardware to get some amazing IQ at 1080p, and everyone's already on to the next resolution :/

I will keep my 2008 Sony Bravia for another year or two, by then we will see standards that won't be outdated or whatever by years end. I'm hoping for decent prices on ~60in 4K HDR OLEDs by then
