Hi there!
Got my PS5 Pro last year, and have been playing it regularly since:
Astro Bot -> Metaphor: ReFantazio -> Shadow of the Erdtree -> Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
But, when I started playing Dynasty Warriors Origins for longer sessions I started noticing that the fan was getting WAY louder than ever (not coil whine). Before, it was as silent as my launch PS5.
Since then, these games have triggered the fan to jet engine level of noise only comparable to what I experienced with my OG PS4:
(after 2 hours or so of gameplay)
Clair Obscur -> DOOM The Dark Ages -> Death Stranding 2
I've already opened it up to clean as much dust as possible.
Should I read this as "normal"? In the sense that Sony consoles have this history of noise when games start to become more demanding.
Or should I go through the hassle of sending the machine to the technical support? With the chance of it coming back with the same problem.. or even worse.. with the coil whine that so many people report.
Thank you for your opinions and feedback.
Cheers
