My Nintendo Thread: Mii Nintendo, U Nintendo, Wii Nintendo

I'll pretend the Lemon Hat is a Paper Mario Color Splash tie-in and the Skyline T-shirt is, I dunno, SNES Sim City.

Wahey, My Nintendo is great. :)

So I ended up using the 20 gold coins for Chase. I don't have enough money on my account and don't feel like adding funds :')

I'm thinking about using the 20% off Mario 3D World...

The problem is that while I'd ideally go for the £16 downloadable version, my Wii U just doesn't have any space for it. I shouldn't really be fussed about a £2 delivery fee for the physical version from the nintendo store, but when it's basically cutting your 20% discount to a 10%...

£18 is a good price too. I'm annoyed that I'm annoyed.

So, I take it we are not getting an OT for Chase: Cold Case Investigations, eh? Sorry for off-topic, thought this was a best place to ask.

There's a spoiler topic but looks like there's no OT. But with how short the game is I'm not sure if it's really worth the time...

the discounts on Nintendo Selects -titles expire today, so claim them now if you want them. This for European portal of the service. they were specifically added two weeks ago, so I doubt anything will replace them.

Bithday offers have finally arrived in the UK! (And, I presume, the rest of Europe.)

You can get 30% off any title from the following list:

Super Mario Maker
Splatoon
Yoshi's Woolly World
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
Xenoblade Chronicles X

Monster Hunter™ Generations
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon
Bravely Second™: End Layer
Tomodachi Life
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes

You'll get an email at the start of your birthday month, and it can be used immediately - no need to wait for your actual birthday to come around. Presumably, since the program is just now launching, that means that anyone with an October birthday should be receiving theirs imminently, even if their birthday has already come and gone.

Oh, and you need to be signed up to Nintendo's promotional emails in order to receive the offer.

This all comes two months too late for me, sadly. :-(

Yep, I got it! But the prices are still too high for the games (the only one interesting for me is TPHD for 35€... but it's still too much).

Luckily, you can just buy the games at retail for even less. So no need to be sad about anything.

No, just why would anyone shed a tear for missing out on paying more than necessary? Not much of a reason to be upset about.
You say that, but I just did a quick check on Amazon and when it comes to the Wii U games the 30% off prices are universally better value than the cheapest new copies available on Marketplace. In some cases, they were also cheaper than the cheapest used copies, in fact. You're saving between £10.50 and £15 on the RRP, which seems more than generous enough to me considering you have to do absolutely nothing to get the discount (beyond registering for the service). And some of us do prefer digital copies over physical, for valid reasons.

I can appreciate cynicism, but not when it gets in the way of facts.

So curious, with coins expiring - can I "buy" the platinum discount rewards and they'll just apply if I ever buy the games in the future? It doesn't force me to buy the game right there and then I guess? If not, I might as well use my coins on them.

Edit: Oh, duh, it specifies right on the page how long it applies. Well, with the coins expiring anyway, might as well use them even if I won't use the discount in that time.

They only last a month I think.

Ummm has this happened to anyone else before? it's not just a visual bug either, I did get credit for the points twice

Did you collect the points the week before? It stacks if you visited the site the week before and only claim the points the next week.

This has happened to me several times with Miiverse credits, and every time I have verified that I did indeed get double credits and that it wasn't residual from a former week.

Yes.
I've tried replicating it a few times since a few months ago, but couldn't find a sure way to do it.

The best results for me is when opening 2 tabs for the nintendo site while the MyNintendo page is loading, but again, it doesn't work every time.

Not that it really matters since there's nothing to use your coins on anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

seems like whatever happened last week which made me get credit for the Nintendo.com mission twice is coming back to bite me this week cuz I can't seem to get credit for the mission today no matter how many times I try D':

I can access it, but I'm already logged in.

Also guessing we won't get anything new for Nov. since most of the stuff expires on Dec. 1st. I now have over 5,000 platinum coins, yet nothing to spend it on.

Ugh, I just want some more games to use my gold coins on. I waited out Metroid Fusion hoping for some GBA games I hadn't played, and then nothing.

Yeah, can't believe there hasn't been any new free games as well. Got 120 gold coins that I'd like to use. Sure would be nice if they added some games tomorrow, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

New rewards up! Xenoblade, Earthbound, Boxboy, Harmoknight. Of course any self respecting wii u / 3ds owner has these, but at least it's something!

Damn, they're just more coupons. Slightly tempted by Earthbound for New 3DS, but I don't want to spend $7 just to have a portable version when I already have it on Wii U.

New coupons up on European portal:

- Ultimate NES Remix, 15% off for 300 Platinum Coins. Expires on 1.2.2017
- Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' treasure, 25% off for 300 Platinum Coins. Expires on 1.2.2017
- Typoman, 30% off for 250 Platinum Coins. Expires on 1.2.2017
- KORG M01D, 50% off for 80 Gold Coins. Expires on 1.2.2017
- Pocket Card Jockey, 20% off for 10 Gold Coins. Expires on 1.2.2017

Oh, and Wii Karaoke U by Joysound 1-Hour ticket gor renewed again.
