This initial release consists of material from the FBI's files related to the William J. Clinton Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The bulk of these records come from a 2001 FBI investigation into the pardon of Marc Rich (1934-2013), aka Marcell David Reich, by President Clinton in 2001; it was closed in 2005. The material is heavily redacted due to personal privacy protections and grand jury secrecy rules.

The timing is a bit ridiculous.
Been waiting for 11 years to drop this one.

Not sure if anything good is in there as these are heavily redacted.

Also labeled as "initial release". Maybe we will get more?

MOD EDIT:

Mark Murray reports it was in response to a public request

.@Tom_Winter reports that it's in response to a public-records request.

So...the FBI just released files from an investigation into Bill Clinton's 2001 pardon of Marc Rich. Closed in 2005.

The timing though (rebecca works for RCP)

This is...some timing

Eeesh that timing is soooooo suspect.

Has this release been scheduled for a while or anything to back up this being anything than politically motivated?

There's gotta be someone that can be fired when they are being this fucking obvious about manipulating the election?

Damn, the
REDACTED
doing
REDACTED
over at the
REDACTED
is going to
REDACTED
REDACTED
REDACTED

This is a public request from what I've seen others say, considering how much is
REDACTED
, this is literally nothing.

Why the fuck is an investigation into a charity REDACTED. Was the charity developing missiles or sending out spies?

The material is heavily redacted due to personal privacy protections and grand jury secrecy rules.

In OP

Trump is the law and order candidate so it isn't surprising the FBI supports him.

It is surprising that they are being this obvious about it though.

Yeah that doesn't make sense tho. Sure redact some social security numbers or soemthing, but not most of the document.

People who weren't really involved don't have any reason to be publicly exposed in an FBI investigation if they have little to do with the results of the investigation.

FOIA requests often take ages, so it's not like it happened overnight.

I understand that but releasing it 7 days before a Presidential election where one of the nominees is connected to 15 year old investigation is such a massive coincidence.

It strongly reads like someone prioritized it to get it out before the election

So is there something in there?

I don't understand why the media is so upset about emails and documents existing. We're just assuming that they're bad.

Why are they releasing this now?

And the whole document is basically blank. Page after page fully redacted. Very useful...
Doesn't matter. So many leaks and hacks that show basically nothing on Hillary, but she still takes a hit every time because innuendo is enough to sabotage her.

Meanwhile trump is being sued, admits to tax evasion revels in misogyny, etc etc, and people forget about it in a week .

It's not about the document.
It's about the optics of the headlines in the media.

If a request was made via FOIA, they're legally obligated to release the information they are able to. I'm not saying the timing isn't suspicious, but without knowing when the request was made, it's a little hard to discuss that any further. You can't argue that if a FOIA request was made that it would be acceptable to simply 'wait until after election day' to release it.

Read basically the whole thing, which took surprisingly little time, given the fact that there were maybe two whole paragraphs in the entire document.

It's literally nothing.

Yet they won't release anything on Trump/Russia because its to close to the election.

FUCK OFF.
"Trump's ties are too tight with Russia, and that would affect the election in which people are concerned Trump's ties are too tight with Russia."

Where are my Trump investigation leaks?

Trump doesn't send Emails - he's still using paper and letters and shit:

Can't hack a binder.

You'll have to do an actual Watergate break-in to get dirt on his dealings.
