I will definitely take it

i assume it has the same music as the others :lol

edit: sure does! cute theme though

Careful with the PAL ZackWiki offer, you can accept it multiple times.

PS: Japan got the Isabelle theme now, too, for 200 silver.

Hold the fucking phone.

I haven't checked in on MyNintendo for awhile because it sucks.

Now I see that they no longer offer free digital games, even just moldy ol' VC games?

It's only coupons, the biggest discount being 30%!? 30 gold coins to save $3 on Earthbound???

Fuuuuuuuck Yoouuuuuu, Nintendo.

I can confirm they dropped the price. Guess enough people complained or something.

Yet not enough. Fire Emblem should be "free" with gold coins. Same with all the VC games.

Fuck, the coupons could at least be 50% off.

I miss Club Nintendo so bad. Getting a free digital game each month was awesome, it's how I acquired all the Nintendo 3D Classics and some other great eShop games.

I guess $1 off BoxBoy would be more impressive if it hadn't recently been on sale for less.

I laugh when defenders claim that MyNintendo will improve over time. It's getting WORSE, not better, and there's no reason to believe that the trend will change.

Yup. Even with all of its flaws, Club Nintendo was infinitely better than MyNintendo is.

-- You got rewarded every time you bought something. No digital-only bias bullshit where physical games don't count, no "systems don't count", no "$5 or less doesn't count".

-- There was a wider selection of games.

-- There was free stuff, not bullshit coupons.

-- There were physical items, some of which were pretty nice.

-- End-of-year tiers added something to the program.

I'm not a "defender" but it's pretty obvious that the system is designed around interacting with games, and when the only "game" it interacts with is Miitomo, the appeal and selection of rewards will be limited. Until Super Mario Run and Switch come out, we'll never know how extensive the uses for Platinum coins will actually be.

As of now the Gold coins program looks pretty bleak but that also might change when the Switch arrives. It's really hard to tell.

When the Switch arrives VC has to start all over again with the usual drip-feed. All Switch software will be brand-new. They aren't going to give anything away, not during the first year. More 15% off coupons.

that wasn't really what I meant, and we don't know if the VC drip-feed will begin anew. A lot of things have changed with Nintendo since they released the 3DS and Wii U.

perhaps gold coins will be used for different things like in-game items or DLC or whatever. who knows. when there is better integration with MyNintendo and the software, a lot of possibilities will open up.

Got the Birthday Offer email and I'm still undecided on what to get. I narrowed it down to Captain Toad and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but leaning more toward Captain Toad simply because its cheaper.

Also didn't realize that there are new My Nintendo rewards. Will get Box Boy and Xenoblade Chronicles maybe next month.

Happy birth month :)

I actually quite want that Korg M01D discount but have zero gold coins.

Is it possible for people to sell their discount codes on ebay etc. or are the discounts tied to accounts?

For the Xth time, that's why they called these "Just for You" offers. For some reason, full downloads are codes. (Well, in case of 3DS DLC the reason is known, but that's an exception.)

So it got better.

Miitomo service disruption 11/9 from 3-9 p.m. (not sure what timezone these times are. Also it says the times are approximate.) Says this is in preparation for the big update to Miitomo coming. The big update includes direct messaging in Miitomo and being able to decorate your room (actually looking forward to this part!).

Can't wait for the update.

Just kidding, it's still Miitomo. It could only be worse if they featured Sonic or Sonic items.

I feel like Nintendo rolled out this system waaaaayyyy too earlier. The way it operates right now just says to me "come back when Switch is out."

Am I right to assume each Switch game will have their own "missions" that operate basically like how they do for Miitomo?

That seems very likely, yes.

Splatoon and MKSwitch definitely will. They just seem perfect for it.

Maybe, I would be surprised if not, but they have officially only mentioned smartphone titles when talking about Missions.

Everyone expects they will, and I'm in that boat. They'd miss a trick if they don't.

Ink an area worth 50000 points for 150 silver coins (weekly)

Metroid T-Shirt for 500 silver coins

etc...

Blue Shell 5 poor souls per week for 50 silver coins (weekly)

Don't be lazy, do easy math yourself. :)

10% of 10 EUR is 1 EUR. etc :)

I couldn't see the price of the game on mobile so my laziness was for not entering on the eshop... But I see now that on my desktop I can see the prices!!! So I'll do the math ;D

PS: your double :) doesn't fool anyone!!! Bwahaha :P

I'm not sure I'd expect every game to have missions, but yeah I think it's pretty likely that a decent portion will.

It'd be a bit of a waste if this system was limited to only mobile stuff.

What makes you say that? Aren't they basically just trophies/achievements? The only difference is that you actually earn stuff from them, but I doubt that would matter much at all from the developer's side of it?

The last six months My Nintendo has pretty much been a way for Nintendo to make new hardware owners buy games instead of rewarding loyal fans. A couple of old VC games and discounts on games we already own? Come on...

3000+ platinum, 150 gold just sitting there. Uninstalled Miitomo, no need for that useless app.

The main reason I think it might not be everything is because that could require more work on Nintendo's part to keep the economy vaguely sane.

Or I guess they could just flood it with game specific rewards and let developers go crazy implementing missions.

Nintendo just tweeted that "New Rewards" include a 15% discount on Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. It says "rewards" plural, but checking My Nintendo, that's the only new reward I'm noticing. Anyone else see anything different?

The new Miitomo v2 update is up, and along with it comes 3 new daily missions:

1. Answer 1 question in Answer Central (daily) +3 Platinum Coins
2. Post in Style Central (daily) +5 Platinum Coins
3. Send a message to a friend in Miitomo (daily) +5 Platinum Coins

That's an extra 390 or so coins per month to use on nothing.
