Buying a 4K TV for PS4K thread!

I've got 1 for you. PM your name and email.

I've got 2 more invites to give out after that for the first 2 responses.

For everyone that gets an invite, remember you get 5 invites yourself, so please pass the savings along!

Edit: All gone! I gave out 3 invites, so there should be 15 more invites available if you guys share them!

I would love an invite from one of these new people with invites to share.

I have some invites, just PM me your info.

What kind of info do you need?

Man, I'm having a tough time deciding between the 55" ks8000 for $729 and the 65" curved ks8500 for $1200.

They both seem like awesome sets, just can't decide if the curved 65" is worth the extra $500...

Curious for those that went to BB today, what prices were you seeing for the KS8000?

Curious too, because all the prices mentioned in this thread is same prices I seen all week at bestbuy 1k for 55 and 1300 for 60

if they have a special today it should be better than what they had all week.

I just tell myself that i'll stick with the 55'' for now (which by all means is an amazing set) - then when OLEDs become more affordable in a few years, i'll get a 65'' OLED

i have 5 invites. pm me your first/last name and email. first 5!

p.s.

for people that have ordered, are you using white glove delivery? i don't need them to set it up or remove it for me but i also dont want them to just throw the TV around if i do standard

Anyone have the Samsung UN40KU6300? I was shocked by how low the price is! I looked at its review on rtings already, but I wanted some impressions from people who have it!

Well, Best Buy is 10 mins from house I guess I will go and see what prices they offer, would be annoying if its same prices they had all week.

55" - 1k
60" - 1400
65" - 1700

Damn you lucky Yanks and your ridiculously cheap employee-discount KS8000!!!

The equivalent of 2000 damn dollars for a 49 inch KS8000 in my country!

For anyone that ends up with AGS shipping I suggest that you call them. I called to see when it'd be in my area so I could set up a delivery appointment and she had two totally wrong phone numbers on the shipment. I guess they'll call me when it arrives in my area on Monday (ordered on Wednesday) to set up an appointment (or you can go pick it up).

Report back whenever you can! Cause hell if it's the same price as EPP, ill just head over to the nearest BB and get my tv now lol

any major differences between the LG OLED B6 and C6, or is it just curved + 3D? Currys in the UK have them both at the same price

10%off is tempting but I need to plant that seed first with my wife so that when I eventually buy one, she just sighs with the inevitability of it all. And I should probably sell my vive as a goodwill gesture.

Pretty much identical but the C6 is curved and with 3D. I am not necessarily a fan of curved because almost always, they do 'worse' than a flat panel, but the C6 because it is OLED does not have as many curved issues as LCD panels do ie. Cloudiness and backlight bleed. So you need to see whether 3D and a curve is something you guys would want. Curve can help if you have a space where people won't necessarily be sitting at extreme degree angles.

That's some Inception shit right there.

nope, curved isn't great for us as we have a corner sofa so viewing angles can vary. I just wondered if it might have better processing but doesn't sound like it.

I think my shortlist is

Budget: 55" Sony XD85xx/XD80xx £999
Mid : 55" Sony XD93 £1600 but with free stupid soundbar so probably £1500 after I sell that. Not sure how much better it is than the 800 though, and input lag seems high on this model.
High : 55" LG C6. Like the idea of OLED blacks and contrast, but unsure about input lag and lower brightness for HDR - viewing area is a well lit living room, prefer not to watch with lights out (thats what the projector is for)
