At least you know what you're getting with Trump, but Clinton flip-flopped on so many subjects, was involved in numerous shady events involving opponents, and thought it was alright to conduct private national security emailing from her Tandy 1000HX computer.

It's going to be interesting how it pans out. Which ever gets into office, I can see both of them getting yanked from it soon after though, lol. And, another 4 years of the middle class getting destroyed, national debt increasing, etc.

I like my representatives to come around on issues as they become politically attainable. It's up to activists and insiders to build those coalitions to give politicians cover to vote.

I've been following her for 25 years. She is indeed calculating and flawed, but I'm rather confident on what kind of SCOTUS justices she'll appoint. Since the GOP will occupy the House, we're looking at legislative gridlock for four years. This is a race to determine the trajectory of the judiciary for the next few decades. For this purpose, she will do just fine.

I'm not comfortable with supporting a bigot; that's a showstopper for me. You apparently are fine with this, and that's something that speaks for itself.
 
Voting Trump on Tuesday. I don't think he'll win. I'm okay with that. Still, I won't vote for Clinton. It does suck that these are our choices. At least, it sucks for me. I hate these candidates.

I've criticized Hillary on LGBT issues quite often. It's one of my 3 biggest issues with her/Democrats in general. I don't trust she'll do anything for trans rights but I'd take that over a man whose party/VP actively wants to legalize torture of LGBT citizens and revert any tiny minutia of rights we do have.

As for the e-mail junk, I really don't care about that. It's complete nonsense that for the most part didn't reveal too much upon further reflection. Was I bothered by some of it? Yes. I'm not going to throw a childish hissy fit because of it and ruin the rights of millions/endanger the world by handing it over to a fascist party. There's no comparison between the two here. It's insulting to even try. Criticize Hillary? By all means, please do. I do all the time. But say "both sides are the same"? That's just intellectually dishonest. It shows a clear lack of understanding the ramifications of a government controlled by extremist right-wingers.

As for the economy: The Democrats have shown a vested interest in turning things around. Whether anything happens is dependent on getting Republicans out of office entirely. For anything to get done, the obstructionists have to be booted. Compromise with them (which is a laugh, they don't want to anyway. they want everything to be their extremist way) will lead to nothing but more suffering for the middle/lower classes.

As a colored man, I could never in good conscience ever vote for Trump or support anything he stands for. He scares me to death. His supporters scare me to death. I've had his supporters yell all sorts of lovely racist epithets at me.

I'm not crazy about Hillary but he's made me real excited to cast my vote for her.

Have a feeling you actually know little to nothing about either of these candidates. That's the only explanation for"they both suck so I'm voting Trump!" No one who has actually done any research at all would come to the conclusion that Trump is the better of the two.

So why vote for Trump over Clinton? Why not just stay home? Is it the racism you like? Hillary being a woman? Is it that you're a coward that needs to hide behind your guns and you're afraid they're going to be taken away, even when she's not wanting to do that?

To be honest, I'm probably not voting at all. I know that's bad, but I'm not throwing a parting ballot at someone irrelevant to attempt to send a message which will be ignored. I do believe though that these two parties are going to head in different directions regardless of this times votes. It's been noted by them that the American people are pissed to the point that someone like Trump who has basically zero political skill can come in and actually give the others a run for their money.

Hopefully they'll then find someone a bit more business orientated, and understands that while it's fine and dandy to want to further outreach to the world that in fact we need to trim the rot of our core first, heal from within to out. Maybe adjust their stance. Or ideally, have a true independent 3rd party show up big time, but lol good luck with that.

Either way, it'll be another horrific 4-years for the middleclass being beaten into submission and irrelevance. We'll continue to pay out of pocket for others mistakes and miscalculations once again. Can't wait to see my health care plans increase again in triple digit percentages... : /

Also, maybe GAF will tighten down on falsely calling out people as racists and bigots finally, and all the hate spewing done by the people who ironically hate Trump and his followers who are hate-filled.

Not voting means you don't exist politically and nobody should care about you. I have had a few friends refrain from voting thinking it'll somehow "show the man". The middle class can do better but it is also highly dependent on state and local government and if you can't bother to do even that then nobody will bother with what you think.

I hope Kander gets elected in Missouri. It would be great to have two Senate Democrats in Missouri. But it seems like things are coming close between him and Kander and Missouri has let me down plenty of times before.

Also it would be sweet to have the first Millennial Senator from my home state.

This is where it has to stop. There are people that want a party change, and they firmly believe that voting for Trump is the way to get that out there. They're not all selfish, sexist, racist bigots. They're tired of being fed the same garbage every four years.

The fact that someone like Trump made it this far, and can actually be considered a threat in this election has sent a message to both major parties that people are sick of it.
