Trump: Minnesota has "suffered enough" from Somalian refugees

He did so specifically to try and cause a scene over exactly the kind of comments he's making. It's not about winning Minnesota.

He's off to a good start if that was his goal.

Old rich white man who has never had to struggle shits on people moving to America to better their families and future.

And a large group are blindly following this dipshit.

First came the Hmong, then the Somalians.

Ignore the fact that both groups enriched the state.

And the Mexicans before that, who "destroyed " my hometown (not the dying exonomy of the 70s, Interstate 90 coming through and killing main street, walmart in 2000 eating up local long time businesses...). Those taco carts on every corner are to blame (yet racist white dudes stop at them all the time because the food is dope)

Aren't there enough bigots in Minnesota for Michelle Bachmann to have had a career in Congress?

Yes. There are a few wealthy suburbs, but as a whole our state is much more progressive. What the other poster said about us basically being Canada is true, we are about as close as it gets to American-Canadians.

Our primary choices were Bernie Sanders and Marco Rubio.

The episode of This American Life that has been linked a number of times in this thread is talking about Bachmann's former district.

That right there should tell you everything you need to know about that area.

You guys have to see the big picture. Trump's strategy is polarization. He is breaking the social cohesiveness of America in order to bring all the voters to his side. He has pitted citizens against immigrants, Americans against people of Mexican heritage, Blacks against Whites, Christians against Muslims, Hindus against Muslims, Citizens against refugees, etc.

This is doing insurmountable damage to our country and will take years, if not decades to heal. Good thing millenials are rejecting this shit from Trump.

Collectively we're one of the more progressive states, but there are definitely pockets of deplorables. Statewide we've sent Wellstone, Franken and Klobuchar to the Senate, while our upper class suburbs gave you all the gift of Michelle Bachmann. Anecdotally I've heard a fair amount of disdain about the Somali population, all the way from distasteful jokes to outright xenophobia. Though that's mostly been from people older than myself. Anyone my age or younger has gone or is going to school with kids from refugee families, and while I won't say racism doesn't exist, I would say that my generation as a whole believes that they belong here.

Paul Wellstone may have been the democratic nominee in 2008 or 2016 if he hadn't died.

I live in Minnesota, and he may be referring to the Muslim young men who target white women for rape.

https://www.jihadwatch.org/2016/07/...with-rape-mainstream-media-covers-up-incident

Or he could be referring to the mosque that is 15 minutes from my house that has produced at least two convicted terrorists since I've lived here.

http://mobile.wnd.com/2016/04/minnesota-mosque-producing-radical-somali-terrorists/

Full disclosure, I have a couple Muslim friends and I work with a Somalian every day in my office.

He seems like a nice kid, but like the Quran says, Allah allows you to lie to your enemies to gain their trust, and once you gain their trust to kill them with extreme hate. So I sometimes fear what could happen. And if anybody says I'm exaggerating, I have read the Quran and I am not misinterpreting these verses. I do believe that the vast majority of Muslims do not believe this. But I also believe that the radical Islamists are in their mind being true to their holy book.

You need to get some perspective.

Dude , everything about your post is a raging mess but the sources....

I also forgot to mention something a friend of mine saw with his own eyes ...

When the planes hit the towers on 9/11, he was working at the Fingerhut distribution plant in St. Cloud Minnesota. When the planes hit all the Muslims cheered in the warehouse.

Like I said, I don't believe most Muslims hate this country, but when you see stuff like that it makes you a little worried about what some of them really feel.

that's crazy that they all knew while the planes were still hitting that it was done by al-Queda

they must have gotten the most recent muslim newsletter

What worries me is that you honestly believe an entire community of people would want to emigrate to a country that they hate.

Your friend is lying.

Your friend is full of shit.
I've never seen a warehouse without a surveilance system. There would be video if it really happened, but it didn't.

Haha, yep. These cheering Muslim stories are some blatant bullshit.

Make America Communist again? Fascist again? Russia again? Turkey again? Do these dickheads even know what the kind of countries that suppress journalism are like to live in?

There's also the latest one, just two months ago a Muslim started stabbing people in the mall .

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...ng-stabbing-attack-at-minnesota-mall-it8de54r

So it can be a little uneasy living in Minnesota these days, so he was probably just referring to that. I don't know. I'm sure the mall of America is going to be a target in the future.

shit thats crazy, especially since 0 white people committed any murders in that time frame either or since probably

Bullfuckingshit.

They said the same thing happened at Stearns. I was there. It didn't. The person who tried spreading that rumor was a worthless piece of shit who had a stupid little nickname for every nonwhite in the building. It's the oldest trick in the book. " I don't like something/someone, I want other people to feel the same way, I'll make shit up about them so they won't like that thing/person too."

Edit. Idiots also said the same thing happened at electrolux. That was debunked too.
