I am sort of neutral about a Clinton presidency. I think she is certainly qualified and I am confident in her ability but her message has been "Obama, but more," which is fine, I like Obama and I think he's done well but that's not a message that differentiates her in a way that gets me excited. Still, the idea of a Trump presidency, and the validation of the racist fringe that has become emboldened by him, is so utterly horrifying that I am behind Clinton 100%.

Not that this thread is really conducive to having this discussion because of how fast everything is moving, but I think Hillary and her campaign missed a real opportunity to build a narrative she could not only win with but carry over into her presidency.

As you say, the whole "secure Obama's legacy" is a pretty lukewarm message.

And it ignores an important context that could of been organized to put Republicans on the defensive and leaves her and Democrats vulnerable to the same strategies that crippled Obama's presidency. That of Republicans being the reason for government's dysfunction.

I hate to say it, but borrow a page from the Rovian playbook. Call their unwillingness to govern due to partisanship Un-American and hammer them. Own that things like Obamacare are struggling and blame Republicans for it.
