Him losing the primaries was a self-fulfilling prophecy, not to mention superdelegates. If he made it to the election he would have had a far cleaner image as a candidate as an advantage. It speaks volumes about how sketchy Hillary is seen as by a lot of people (with good reason, mind you) that even running against Donald Fucking Trump isn't enough to completely alleviate the issue.

I'm surprised how things are going more in Trump's direction.

In retrospect, it is plausible that polls are skewed in Clinton's direction because there's:
1. Old people getting polled on landlines which think Trump is indecent
2. Younger men thinking Trump will shake shit up

Mildly concerned - a Trump victory would be toxic. The guy is a piece of shit.

Also, it could be that if you weren't all in on Hillary, you're considered a racist scumbag. This election made things too black and white. It left people who weren't down with another Clinton in office in silence for fear of being destroyed for not being on the right side. So these people just didn't say anything and let their voteam do the talking.
