More like decades of baggage and being an establishment candidate that the DNC for whatever reason decided was "their candidate" before the primaries even started in a time when there's a large revolt against the establishment.

Maybe young people will realize that their little bubble they live in doesn't really exist and that these kind of things hurt people. Heck, I bet many will miss Obama Care, all while doing calculations on whether they'll pay their college debts in 20 or 30 years.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Of course people should give a fuck about minorities. But what you're doing is reducing anyone who cares less about minorities than you do into a caricature, a symbol, a "deplorable" that you instantly write off by dehumanizing them.

People voting for the most racist, sexist, bigoted candidate in decades is what made liberals call those people (and not all white people, for fuck's sake) racist, sexist, and bigoted. They supported Trump before they were insulted.

Based on this election, shame apparently isn't an effective tool for changing society, but this revisionist shit isn't, either. Hillary could have done nothing but coddle them, and it wouldn't have mattered.

But let's say Hillary literally said "All white people are racist." You know what? I'd still vote for her, because my fucking pride is completely meaningless compared to the idea that people who were born different should be able to live in this country without fear, as I do.

If people voted for Trump because they were insulted that believing Obama is a secret Muslim makes them racist, then that's on them. There are a lot of things liberals deserve blame for, including the media, but calling a spade a spade isn't one of them (especially not when the spade loves a guy who "tells it like it is").

Maybe he'll be surprisingly moderate? Certainly a better chance of that with Trump compared to someone like Cruz.
