You got all kinds of people popping out of the woodwork in this thread. Bunch of hidden Trump supporters now feeling comfortable making asshole comments and treating people like children, and also a bunch of racists lashing out.

At the very least we can be happy that among these jackasses you see people that are simply sad for the environment. There is good in the world.
 
So I'm mentally disabled 29 year old that (I'm pretty sure) get my healthcare from Obama Care. If the affordable care act is repealed, do I just immediately lose all healthcare? I live with my dad, and I'm already a big enough burden on him as I am. Even worse because he's probably going to lose a huge chunk of his retirement as stocks crash.

You're kidding yourself if you think Hillary's campaign didn't appeal to emotion too. All presidential campaigns in history are huge appeals to emotion. It's harder to notice if you agree with it.

It is the demonisation of whites particularly Christian Republicans by the Extreme Left that helped polarize them into voting for Trump.

Well, guess we're fucked. It was nice knowing you... It's going to be hard going to work tomorrow. And dealing with redneck mulletheads that want to give me shit for having a different color despite that I probably pay more taxes than they do. Christians are going to be smug as fuck, the ones I know at work will take credit for "preventing end times".

You can't demonize and shame people and expect they'll agree with you. They'll only dig their heels in further, especially if they feel attacked.

This is some real truth here, folks:
All the people who are very likely or even (ugh) probably going to put Donald fucking Trump in the White House tonight are not voting because they hate women or blacks or mexicans or whoever else. I'm also not saying that the hatred isn't a factor, because it's been shown repeatedly that at least on some level it's an animating force for all of this... but people are complex animals but you've turned them into cartoon villains and stereotypes without every trying to understand them or why they actually feel the way they do.

Polarization is bad. The right has been polarized for a long time, but now the left is too, and it's biting them back hard tonight. If Trump wins and has the House and Senate behind him, this is literally the end of America as we know it and the beginning of a new BRIC nation world alignment. That's really fucking bad.

I'll respond to this and I too expect to get ignored.

White people's response to basically being put to task for their role in continuing to further sexism and racism was to plug their ears and support a candidate who openly called Mexican's rapists and murderers. What politician in America holding public office right now has said anything about white people anywhere near the levels that Donald Trump has about blacks, Hispanics, Muslims and Asians? Most of what you're complaining about takes place in the annals of entertainment, the SJW movement is largely limited to college campuses at worst. Now your response is to collectively support a candidate who can implement these policies on a national scale and you're pointing the finger at us?

Sorry if this sounds like doubling down but you can't continually believe that not calling black people "niggers" in public is the only requirement to being non-racist when you guys continue to do things like support Donald Trump.
 
Honestly, the 2008 Democrat primaries should have sounded huge alarms in terms of Hillary's electability. The fact that a young upstart and relatively no-name Obama defeated an established candidate like Hillary so easily should have shown the Dems that Hillary is just not a good presidential candidate.

Yes, he uses illegal foreigners in his businesses, uses foreign materials to conteuct his buildings, doesnt pay a lot of taxes, got people to invest in him only to bankrupt and walk away without paying back a dime.

I won't lie, even though this isn't my first election, I find this quite terrifying. Still, as much as might want to, I have no intention of looking away. Regardless of how this turns out, I will see to it that I remember this night.
