If this is true, this was one of my biggest fears about a Trump victory: bigots feeling empowered to express their bigotry. The same thing happened after Brexit.

It's not true and I don't expect this to hPpen at all. What Im more concerned about is the scotus pick is gonna damn us for a very long time. Overall well lose obama care, but despite what hes pandered on about, he's pretty moderate on a lot of social issues such as gay marriage. Luckily he won and not Cruz or someone like pence tbh. They're better at hiding their true feelings, but they are a lot darker and more religion based than Trump, who likely has never actually touched the Bible.

I am honestly scared as an American Muslim here....

I don't know if I will be able to get job due to my religion. If I go abroad, will I still be allowed to come back to my home (US Citizen)... Also what will happen to my healthcare as I am on ACA. So many questions and worry for the future. :(

I'm happy I'm not working this week. Have a co-worker that said Trump would win, and we all called him stupid for it.

Being the egotistical, mysogynistic, narcissistic, aggressive, conspiracy-believing, MRA that he is, he wont shut up about it

So for future elections is the way forward to simply ignore minority voters?

Don't alienate the majority of voters by telling them they are deplorables, racist, sexist, not relevant anymore, etc. Will be completely lost by the mainstream media who will continue the drum beat of blaming people for "voting wrong".

Clinton by the way had FEWER latino and black voters than Obama.

Jay-Z for president 2020.

Fuck it, give us fucking Hov. This is horrible.

Hillary must win PA and MI.......it's over aint it?

From WaPo:

PA Clinton 3,000 votes behind, under 4% left to be counted.
MI Clinton 44,000 votes behind, 20% to be counted
NH Clinton 100 votes behind, about 17% to be counted
AZ Clinton 60,000 votes behind, 30% to be counted

All over but the shouting, I fear.

If it's just this easy why the *FUCK* didn't they do it in the 2008-2012 cycle and get some real shit done? The ACA was crippled by the need for 60 votes
Because it's dangerous to change the rules to give yourself power that you might have to give to your enemies.

LMAO SO I GOT HIGH AS HELL AND REMEMBERED THIS YEAR HAD 2 3-1 COMEBACKS IN THE FINALS

IS IT POSSIBLE GAF????????

IS HILLARY GONNA MAKE THE THREE ONE COMEBACK

Step back for a second. If someone posts something you don't agree with should you

a) block them so you can live in your echo chamber
or
b) engage in a discussion with them

This is a HUGE issue with our political system right now. People only read what they want to read.

oh i didn't say ignore forever, maybe just for the next few weeks?

so what is it, 20 users? 50?

Goodbye Liberal America

:(

President Trump
Republican House
Republican Senate?
Republican SCOTUS
Majority Republican Governors

--Get ready for Christian Religious doctrine to flood our legal system, despite the President being the anti-Christ himself.
--Guns. Guns everywhere. NRA will give the damn things away to people.
--Going back to privileged-only Healthcare
--Social Security???? Welfare?
--Gay people will have all their marriages revoked?
--Kim Davis will get a national holiday in her honor.

I do actually think a huge chunk of voters had nothing to do with race and more, "Hilary is gonna take my damn guns and Trump is gonna give us jobs!"

Obviously none of that is accurate, but there are a ton of people out there that aren't educated at all. I've been seeing Hilary is gonna take my guns posts every day on Facebook for months.

That's not to say some of this isn't racism. It surely is, but I don't think its the whole story. I think the absolute gun love in America is a huge story flying under the radar in elections. There is a batch of this country that will never vote Democrat no matter what because they think they will instantly have their guns taken away.

Keep in mind there are more guns in this country than people. That is a MASSIVE storyline that hasn't been talked about going into this election hardly at all.
Also, I think people are just unhappy and want change of any kind. Bernie promised that and I think he would've actually had a good chance.

This is fucking crazy. As a European I'm both dumbfounded that anyone would ever vote for Trump and also extremely scared for the future
Why do Europeans keep saying this when alt-right movements are flourishing all over that continent and the UK just made a similarly dumb decision earlier in the year?

Being dumbfounded to what's already there, despite having plenty of minorities telling you the reality for decades, is what leads countries like America and the UK to make these decisions. Start working now on preventing your own country from going down the same route, because it's heading there too.
