wow....seriously america?

I love how tons of people are now playing the "relax, nothing will happen.we'll be fine" card.
fuck that

a racist, bigoted piece of fuck who treats women like shit is probably voted to be the most powerful person in the "free" world.
I will not relax. at all

smh

What happens to the Republicans who "turned" on Trump?

Welp President Trump it is , I as a an african american speaking for myself only obviously am happy with the outcome. Heres your chance to prove you can improve the unemployment rate for us compared to the democrats

Nah I'm not worried at all, and yes I know hard times are ahead but really, get real with me now, Mexico is always in crisis, we are used to this it is our modus operandi. We'll make it like always. And seeing as you are making up lies about AMLO I can say you are probably a right-wing PANista, no better than Republicans, it was PRI and PAN that escalated this with their neoliberal reforms, if anything this is good! Now Margarita's campaign, region 4 copy of Hillary, just took a big hit. AMLO was right all along, just like Bernie.
I consider myself an independent leaning to the left, actually. But I'm not making it up, AMLO said that just two hours ago: http://www.reforma.com/aplicaciones.../aplicaciones/articulo/default.aspx?id=980893

Why can't we be (together)?
Could you love me, don't hate me
I don't see (why can't we live together)
Maybe we could get it on (maybe we could get it on)
Should be our destiny
There's a cold streak living (inside us)
There's no rainbows... just bullets and bombs
If you want to rise up
We can make this hate stop
Now don't you want to rise up

We've been giving hate a chance
(We've got all this love to give, you know)
And the love will be running out for us
Can you feel the dreams of life
We're hoping we can still survive
As the wind carries every dove away

Listening to one of my favorite Jamiroquai songs right now...seems fitting.

Have we looked at the fact that a lot of people didnt vote for Hillary because shes a women and they dont think a female should be president

Not all bad. We drop our debt, create real jobs and get some functioning healthcare in place...We'll be breezing.

And what are Trump's plans to do...

...You know what. Forget it.

He's won. It's over. Logic has died. Facts have died. There's no point in making any argument about this anymore.

I don't know what to say.

Didn't Chris rock joke about this? Listen to rap songs about pumping out bitches and women are dancing to it and loving it haha

Don't get me wrong I'm surprised. But women just don't seem to care about that as much as typical liberal on this forum

Are you seriously comparing rap lyrics to Trump caught on tape bragging about sexual assault under the impression that the conversation would never get out?

Hillary got the boot on a national stage on two separate occasions where she started out as the favourite.

Must be a tough pill to swallow.

Isn't the total vote total a little low? I thought people were estimating 135 million. Looks like it be 2012 of 120 million or a little higher ?

Warning: LONG!

In that Trump Last Stand thread I said the following:

Literally the next post was largely bashing the whole brexit thing.

I am deeply depressed at the way this election has gone but Democrats (including many on here including myself) were way to convinced it would be landslide or that at least it wouldn't be close. We didn't take Trump seriously enough and now its currently looking like hes going to win if he hasn't already. People needed to take this more seriously instead of just talking up again and again how impossible it was.

Hate against the Clintons runs deep.
Racism runs deep.
Sexism runs deep.
Rage against politicians runs deep.
Hate is strong.

Blame Hillary, the DNC, Trump voters, the media, Burnie or Busters, Third parties, Russia, or whatever you want but in the end we've done this to ourselves by assuming that the rest of the country should just naturally think the same way we do. Instead of belittling those who disagreed with us or calling them names or attacking them we should have instead tried to understand how they feel and WHY they feel it. It's easy to say THEY ARE ALL RACIST/SEXIST/WHATEVER but why are they like that? It's easy to point fingers its much more important at times like these we instead try to understand and relate to those we may absolutely hate in order to learn more about them and find some sort of common ground. When you close down the dialog with comments about how bad Trump supporters are or whatever you might want to say in the end we continue to live in our bubble and they in theirs its just that this time around their bubble was bigger then ours. If we are ever going to make progress again we need to break those bubbles and learn from each other.

I don't think this will actually happen, even if this is a humbling experience for Democrats it'll have the exact opposite effect for the winning side, I think we all know Trump supporters that will be putting us on blast over the next few weeks if not longer but in the end... We did this to ourselves. Every insult, every smug comment, every time we made them feel like they were nothing and their opinion was wrong they decided to say they had enough and they went to the candidate that made them feel like their opinion mattered, that they mattered. I think Trump manipulated them but I think we all know his supporters certainly don't feel that way. They were tired of not being herd and instead of listening we decided to make them feel worse and the one man who was willing to hear them out is the one they were willing to follow.

It's easy to turn the switch back at them and blame them for their ignorance or not educating themselves on the issues or the people but Trump has been right about one thing, he started a movement and while Democrats were busy laughing about how the Republican establishment was going to break up after the election and he lost in the end its likely the exact opposite will come true and his movement carried him to victory.

The next four and eight years will be extremely hard on many groups of people because of the events of his election but instead of being depressed or shocked I've found myself at a point where I see just how wrong we all truly were about so many things and its because of that, that now I feel very humbled and I think thats the best feeling I can take away from this night. My thoughts go out to my many minority friends who likely feel very defeated and afraid right now.

That's the wrong approach.... Which the democrats did before and loss many white houses due to. If anything the dem's needed to double down on their own policies to enthuse the base. They also needed a candidate their electorate wanted to vote for. The country is clearly red and blue, seeking middle ground is just going to play into the other sides policies and lose. This election was a reformation on Neo-liberals as much as anything else. Nobody likes the big banks. No one likes a politician who campaigns in the center. The numbers are still there for the democrats they just need to honestly go youngerbrowner for the next candidate too.
