I am legit puzzled by how people are blaming anyone except all the people that actually voted for Trump.

I get it, you're emotional, but there's the people you look to when you're looking at who's to be held responsible for electing Donald Trump. The people that voted for him.

Meanwhile on earth 2

"Bernie never had a chance"

Lol yeah I'm totally willing to accept that answer from people telling me Trump was never gonna have a chance. You were so on the money with that one. What a fucking joke.

Fuck everyone who decided not to vote for a "lesser of two evils" because of their fucking principles today. Seriously. You and your goddamn principles are the reason a man who thinks you can electrocute gay people straight is vice president.

Clinton was a shit candidate for this climate. Accept it as fact and hope we learn next time.

It's a good thing for the national budget, which would go bust with the Democrats' spending and leave our country broken and bankrupt.
.

HAHAHA. You actually buy that propaganda? Here's the actual history of the debt(note that Regan increased it more than any democrat and keep in mind that Trump's plan even by conservative appraisers increases the debt by 20 trillion):

Amount Added to the Debt for Each Fiscal Year Since 1960:
Barack Obama: Added $6.494 trillion, a 56% increase in the $11.657 trillion debt level attributable to President Bush by the end of his last budget, FY 2009.

• FY 1962 - $10 billion.

If the debt was what you cared about, you fucked up.

Not even surprised, anyone vs Hillary is going to be a vote for anyone. Glad she didn't win but also the person that did win isn't really fit for the position either. It was a lose/lose situation anyway.

ok so basically the initial reply which was a sort of magnanimous "life goes on thing" is actually just "conservatives are mature and liberals are dumb dumbs"

Ever heard that old saying, "If you are 20 and not a liberal, you don't have a heart. If you are 40 and not a conservative, you don't have a brain"?

Ahahah i can't believe i woke up in a world where our ex-prime minister Berlusconi isn't the laughing joke of presidents anymore.

I said when I went to bed don't damage my faith in humanity America. Well, you did it.

The sky isn't about to fall, in all likelihood the world won't have succumbed to Donald using nuclear weapons in response to a Twitter argument or other faux pas, but it says so much about a country that after all has been said by him, his personality, his background, his lack of detail or policy, his comments on women, Latinos, African Americans and more minorities besides he was not only nominated by the Republican party, but elected by the public.

I knew this would happen.

How the fuck could Americans be this dumb? I know your politicians are always shitty people and all that, but they always hid it so well and/or had an excuse, which is not the case with Trump.

One of the saddest things is what him being elected, along with Reps controlling everything else, is going to do to gun rights. They will not stop until there is literally a gun fucking each white person in the ass whether said person should have gun or not, while making sure that no minority will even come close to owning a weapon. You want real fear? Try open carry being allowed everywhere and being faced with the fear of every person around you having the ability to end your life in an instant. Because that is going to happen when Reps can't stay out of the NRA's wallet.

What is interesting about this election is it proves nice guys can't win. Trump bullied, insulted and did what it takes to win.... and won over the American people. He lied over and over, but it's cool because they like him.

His locker room talk was on the money. When you are a star, they let you do it. You can do anything

I wouldnt call hillary a nice guy either
Weak candidate, only got many votes because she was "not trump"

It's a good thing because we can stop the class warfare, and maybe just get along as fellow Americans.

It's a good thing because we can get rid of this income-redistribution plan called Obamacare, and perhaps bring back some of those many doctors who have been disaffected and left the profession.

It's a good thing for law enforcement, who has been slandered and demonized and assassinated because of the astroturf movement that is Black Lives Matter.

It's a good thing for the national budget, which would go bust with the Democrats' spending and leave our country broken and bankrupt.

It's a good thing because despite what you have been told, half of Hispanics agree that open borders are a problem and that a legal path to citizenship is the only way to be fair to legal immigrants, blacks, and others looking to climb the jobs ladder.

It's a good thing because the president of the United States will not be indebted to foreign countries who have donated handsomely to the Clinton Foundation. U.S. interests will no longer be for sale for the personal enrichment of the Clinton family.

I could go on, but hopefully you will read up on things yourself and come to a more mature understanding of the way the world works, and America's noble place in the international community.

Hahaha!

Oh man, I remember seeing equally insane replies when Brexit won in my country.

The depressing thing is you people don't even realize...

Giant spiders tho

Okay okay, we admit we invite you so we can feed you to our giant spiders.

But you'll be well fed until you're fat enough for the spiders to chomp on. Deal?

Seriously though, our condolences, Americans. The setbacks from Obama's progress will be massive knowing that Pence will be ruining your country.

And so many people on gaf were so sure that America wouldn't make a massive mistake like Britain.

Welcome to the depressing club

It is unbelievable to think that he somehow won. This has got to be one of the most shocking elections in US history.

It will be very interesting to see where this goes from here, but I wish him the best of luck for our country's sake.

I hope people can eventually come together and work things out as this has been a long, dirty, and divisive couple of years for our country.

(Also as a side note, like is he really going to build a wall now? 😂 )

Amazing speech! I got all teary-eyed. I just feel this very patriotic presence with him yet a humbled heart and yet a strong willed person. This man ...guys, those of you against him, let it go, lets just let this all go and rally together for our country and for our new President Mr. Donald Trump.

I feel this guy will be one of the best Presidents of our country, ever! He just has this humbled down to earth attitude that ..well , at times makes mistakes with his mouth but he learns and that's all that matters ..you can see this, we gotta let go of this nasty division and just unite! This man is going to help make America great again!

God Bless America! He was elected President for a reason!
Lmao

please no wars
please no wars
please no wars

It's almost like you went out of your way to be completely ignorant of Secretary Clinton's decisions when it came to foreign relations and military actions, or her connections to major companies that benefit from warmongering. Please go read these things.

There's plenty blame to go around. The media said it was a blowout. Smug hillary supporters said it was going to be a blowout. We all dismissed it as a joke even as results came in.

We're all to blame.

Wow. I thought Hillary "had this in the bag"? Comparisons to a Brexit style surprise result were shot down in flames.

So much for those prediction websites, too.

UKGAF has been at this party for a while now. We might have eaten all the buffet but we've kept the seat warm for you.

We were just the opening act, but now it looks like the main event just turned up.

"Bernie never had a chance"

Lol yeah I'm totally willing to accept that answer from people telling me Trump was never gonna have a chance. You were so on the money with that one. What a fucking joke.

Hillary Gaf got increasingly condescending during the democratic primaries and it's apparent many of her supporters were just woefully out of touch too going by these results.

there's gotta be a better way of inclusion for the democratic party towards these lost voters, without emboldening racist opinions of course. but a lot of those voters who did go to trump...they gotta be won over in 4 years.

You know the worst part about this is that he denies climate change.

This is one of the most important issues in the next hundred years as a species. And the most powerful country in the world not only denies it, but also blames it to the second most powerful country in the world as a hoax.
It's nothing short of permanently self-destructive and completely fucking insane.

I can only pray the realities of office open his eyes. The DOD would surely like to have a word with him about it.
