Next time take the celebrities out of the campaign. I can't begin to explain how bad it just comes across. Get rid of the corruption, build a party focused on the people and distance yourselves from big banks and choose someone that isn't the most disliked politician in recent times.

A fucking celebrity won for fucks sake.

if you are going to pick one of the most odious woman out there to run for president, you can not be blamed when people say 'nope'

Exactly. There also seemed to be some idea of "it's her time" going around that most people couldn't give a shit about.

Awful shit to wake up too, heard nothing but laughter and mocking comments here in Norway. You are a literal joke now, I would laugh too if not for the millions affected by this.

Not sure what else there is to say. Good luck? Stay safe? I got nothing...

"Nice knowing you"

Hint: "Unity" is code for minorities and their allies shutting the fuck up and allowing the GOP to do whatever it wants to do regardless of who gets hurt in the process. It doesn't mean any meaningful unification between various demographics.

Absolutely this.

Well, I'm heartened somewhat that the first priority Trump mentioned was infrastructure. Hopefully the Republicans will fall in line and authorize the spending needed to get jobs and much needed investment taken care of once and for all. Near-zero interest rates have failed to deliver the growth we need, and the federal government has an obligation to try and create demand.

This thread also confirms for me what I have suspected for a while: that the U.S. educational system has been well and truly overtaken by leftist teachers and teachings.

Try to keep an open mind and think critically for yourself; I think eventually some of you will come around.

God bless America and all of its people. I don't know what Trump will bring, but I know what Clinton told us she'd bring, and it is not the stuff that made America the greatest country in the world.

Why haven't you actually responded to the people who tore your BS to shreds? It's not very open minded or honest to ignore rebuttals while condescendingly crowing away is it?

Not true unfortunately. The austrian right-wing has recently had a 180° on climate change and is now more or less on the denial side.

1. They aren't on the denial side, they just question the factor humans play in regards to climate change, seeing as there was climate change ever since. And thus the validity of mandatory environmental certification/restrictions for companies when said companies can just leave the country(with all its jobs) and continue to pollute the environment from countries where there are no such restrictions.
2. They aren't in the government
3. This is about the US election

I woke up to this and I'm literally shaking. How the fuck could we let this happen. Are we that dense???? Like seriously wtf. This is very frightening as a black man

Be one of the "good ones" and you should be alright. No protesting alright, and BLM will be labeled a hate movement soon enough. You though law enforcement accountability was bad before? Ooooooooh boy.

What is this greatest country bullshit?

USA is basically a third world country with first world money. People live on the streets and in tent cities.

You just elected a TV celebrity with zero experience.

USA has never been the greatest country in the world and never will be with presidents like these. Stop kidding yourselves and start really caring for your country.

I agree.

I'm going to admit right now that I have been a Trump supporter for over a year. But I didn't talk about it because I felt I'd be tarred and feathered over it. I saw the binary nature of us versus them on both sides and said 'I'm playing this close to the chest.' As for why I supported him, I wanted Trump to either destroy the Republican establishment because I was fed up with their lukewarm shit or change the world. And honestly? He got both and I'm ecstatic over it. For better or worse, I will own it. I understand all of the shit he said/did rubbed people the wrong way, and he definitely went overboard a few times. But I just wanted something different than DC insiders. Bernie, for all of the outsider talk, isn't an outsider. The dude looked like his soul was destroyed after endorsing Hillary, and his supporters felt cheated, and got validated from it via WikiLeaks. But honestly, that was a debate that I think would've been enlightening to everyone. But since it didn't (and probably won't due to Bernie's age) happen, we have to think about where we go from here.

Your "outsider" is a born rich NYC businessman that has been shoved down my throat in pop culture for over 30 years.

Some outsider. He's a rich man celebrity.

He's gonna enrich himself and make all kinds of shady deals. You know this right? Just look at his dealings in casinos and golf courses. He's a typical oligarch and you got sold a "bridge" by him being some kind of outside maverick.

You took his crude rudeness as a sign that he wasn't a fat cat. Joke is on you.

What the fuck did I just read?

A bigoted "billionaire" will stop class warfare.

Obama-care is a 2008 conservative buzzword.

Poor police are under attack from people who don't want police to kill them anymore.

Okay.

Okay.

You seem starved for facts. You're on a computer; educate yourself. And no, not at all the leftist echo chambers you usually frequent. Look for objective facts.

The truth is out there.

Man, too bad Bernie is probably too old to run again.

Pisses me off that College tuition and minimum wage weren't an issue at all after the primaries

Some cold facts:

  • Putin has now free hand in Europe
  • Trump has access to the nuclear button starting next year. Trump, who can't control himself over Twitter
  • There are no independent checks and balances left in US coming next January
  • Bernie Sanders wasn't able to win even the Democratic primaries, get over it.

The first is bullshit you pulled out of your bottom and not "fact". Putin is not some maniac who wants to conquer europe just for fun, he's a little boy who wants "respect" and "power balance". So if anything the situation will relax if Putin & Trumps relationship so far is anything to go by, certainly more than with Clinton where they completely hate(d) each other. And a few eastern-european countries aside, most european countries governments are still very much anti-russian.

I'm not really a big political guy, I'll say flat out that I'm really not that educated on the detailed elements of Trump's plan.

One of my biggest issues as an American in my life has been healthcare. I have a chronic disease that can creep up at any time and hurt my ability to work and I've always fallen in a niche group that gets rejected for healthcare discounts and such and have always struggled to find affordable healthcare for the times where I'm out of work.

Not sure how Trump will affect people in my position either way. I do know Obamacare's "no rejections for pre-existing conditions" benefitted me greatly for a time... until the premiums got way too expensive. It was either high monthly premium or lower premium but large deductible. Making it incredibly hard to afford for me.

Anyone educated on what Trump will bring in this regard or people like me?

Obamacare will be repealed, and probably replaced with some mess of a bill that makes another insurance haven in probably Delaware. Premiums will continue to skyrocket, and uh... about it.

You elect a unfit president US, now deal with it. Also given the UK experience with the Brexit, your chocolate gonna get smaller, Trump hands size

I'm not that surprised. The US voted for Bush a second time after all, it's not been that long. I can't understand why anybody would vote for Trump after all he's said and done, let alone a majority, but I guess your country is a lost cause. Though it's not like the Democrats provided a compelling alternative either. Just please don't let him fuck over the rest of the world too hard in the next couple of years.

How does electing a vice president who wants to jail homosexuals for applying for a marriage license go, then? Does it feel good? I hope so!

Most of us aren't happy with the result, but I also don't think painting every Trump voter as a stupid racist is productive. That is an easy answer to a very complicated question (why Trump won). Spending the next four years dismissing this group as such is going to do nothing but create further anger and divide on all sides.

I'm sure I'll get yelled at for this, but I felt it was important to say something after how much stuff I've read on here and various social media platforms.

We are going to preservere no matter how down or depressed people may feel tonight.

The computer won't support your narrative either, sorry to say.

So you did something you knew deep inside was wrong and still followed through? Fuck you.

I'm not American but this is the exact sentiment I have.

What the fuck is this fucking shit? Marine Le Pen in France feels like she has grown wings. Please be a terrible President Donald, so that the world sees how disastrous electing people like you really is.
