What we'll probably see:
1) ACA repeal, no replacement except for maybe a race-to-the-bottom style of removing insurance barriers to state lines. Millions will lose coverage and costs will go up because of uninsured people using emergency room care (unless they also repeal the 1986 law that says emergency rooms have to take you regardless of your ability to pay. In a very heartless way, that would rectify the imbalance, but leave many to suffer and die).

2) H1-B visas gutted, if not eliminated.

3) End of the Iranian nuclear deal.

4) National Voter ID law?

5) Supreme Court appointments that lock the court in for the GOP for 30 years. If Trump gets reelected, the court could tilt as badly as 7-2 in favor of the GOP.

What we probably won't see:

1) Armageddon. Foreign policy tends to be very much inertial-based, and a know-nothing like Trump wouldn't have the force needed to impose his will on the US foreign policy community as a whole, so expect it to be GWB-style foreign policy with a few little tweaks here and there.

2) The Wall. He'll try it, and it will be a disaster of logistics and die with a whimper after a few meandering years and billions of dollars down the tubes.

The tragedy is that hate is now totally legitimized in our public sphere, and will continue to be. Apparently the problem with America was that we were being just too damn respectful to minorities, women, and LGBT+ folks.

If you're a minority, I don't know what to say. This outcome seems bad. I was going to single out specific groups, but Trump's offensive remarks run the gauntlet of minority groups. What exactly Trump will be able to enact will another matter. Can Stop and Frisk be expanded nationally? I highly doubt the wall will be built. Muslims are going to face discrimination I think, it's just a question of if it is institutional or emboldened Trump supporters.
