What are the biggest threats to the country with Trump as president? What could all realistically change for the worse? I just read the vox article about his stance on global warming and how he could set that progress back. What else?
Girl on my friendslist is complaining about Trump winning
she legitimately voted for Harambe
If it helps any, I think the Climate was beyond control by now anyway. The effects we see now are usually decades delayed. So we are seeing the 80s and what the effect it did on the environment. Really might not have been much we could have done. of course we should try and succeed, especially since renewable energy will ulitimently be a big win for low and middle class people.
Damn, Tim Kaine seems like the nicest guy ever. He almost teared up speaking before Clinton came out
I found out something troubling. All the women I know who voted for Trump are saying what finally swayed them was the '9 month abortion' bullshit.
I hold the media to the fire for that. They didn't spend anytime debunking the most nonsensical because they assumed everyone would know it was completely horse shit. They were wrong.
Time Kaine as VP was the final nail in the coffin in Clinton's campaign. The guy connects with absolutely no one, not even few remaining middle class white people.Damn, Tim Kaine seems like the nicest guy ever. He almost teared up speaking before Clinton came out
Me to.i had to leave work early. i felt sick and depressed. its over. climate is fucked, might as well not exist. social issues are fucked. its done.
Financial deregulation is a sure thing.
I have no clue what the hell is going to happen with Dept of Education with someone like Carson in charge.
Which is just playing the game like an idiot. You take what power you have, every single time. Staying home means you personally thought Trump was a better option than Clinton. Ignoring the math to feel better about yourself.
I didn't primary for Clinton but it didn't go my way. So what? So you participate to the best of your ability in the next step, which really isn't that fucking hard. If you skipped that step, Trump is on you. You may as well have voted for him directly if you felt so strongly that he should be president.
If she doesn't live in a battleground state I can't blame her for throwing her vote away. If she lives in Michigan Florida Pennsylvania etc and is complaining then yeah she shouldn't be gripingGirl on my friendslist is complaining about Trump winning

Tin foil hat here but don't you think the government security agencies probably have so much dirt on Trump that they could basically blackmail him into doing what they want?
Has anyone even self-inflicted pain to see how the_donald are behaving?
I can't even imagine the nightmare fuel there right now.
Either way, it says a lot.If she doesn't live in a battleground state I can't blame her for throwing her vote away. If she lives in Michigan Florida Pennsylvania etc and is complaining then yeah she shouldn't be griping
the airing of his dirty laundry didn't work for the establishment during the election.
Uh, Supreme Court nominees are going to be making judgements for decades, man. If you truly think the effects of Trump plus complete republican control will only last 4 years I've got a bridge to sell you...
He has no fucking clue how economics work. It's going to be hilarious.
Hasn't the Sureme Court been majority Republican for a while now? Keep your bridge.
Hate crimes in the UK surged by 400% in the wake of Brexit. A country with a history of lynching should not have elected this man.
These KKK types have had their views ratified by the US nation. These minorities are going to regret their decision the most.

How can anybody watch this stuff and still respect the right.
We go high. They can't go any lower.
"I have instructed my staff to do everything in their power to make a smooth transition."
"Lock her up!!!!"
The dichotomy is fucking laughable.
That's equivalent to visiting Chernobyl in your swimsuit. I wouldn't be able to handle the pain.

Just a thought, could Obama (by some miracle) still appoint a Supreme Court Justice before he's out of office? It's pretty baffling he hasn't already, but maybe he can salvage something here.

SCOTUS has been majority Republican appointees since 1971.

Last night suggests a number of things.
- The idea of American exceptionalism is total BS & it's undeniable if it wasn't already
- Our elites and institutions have completely and utterly failed. No matter how much these people try to spin away criticism on the recovery, trade since the 80s, foreign policy, inequality, etc. A complete disaster over decades resulting from bad decisions that prioritized the wrong things and the wrong people again and again.
- The progress people claimed on social issues didn't reflect the reality that the balance of power was hanging by a thread. Tens of millions of citizens disagree completely and always have stood in the way.
- And to folks that thought the circumstances that lead to folks like Donald Trump & Bernie Sanders was overblown or wrong. Guess what? The establishment and people who repeatedly justified the status quo are going to pay a price and didn't prevail. America wasn't great already. Let's face the truth. The system is rigged and fundamentally broken. Now we can choose to sink or swim.
The press universally chuckled at the idea of Vox making their angle, "explaining the news". They seriously don't understand that their audience doesn't consume news just like them. They don't work in media so they don't know every goddamn talking point and the facts or misinformation behind each.
Not challenging strongly against outright lies means you get a lot of reasonable people who believe something wrong. Because if it wasn't true, wouldn't somebody say so?
As if all that wasn't bad enough? lol
He has promised to do all this and more on his "first day in office"
- "Repeal every single Obama executive order."
- "Repeal Obamacare."
- "Get rid of gun-free zones [in] schools" and "military bases"
- "Begin swiftly removing illegal immigrants from this country."
Is that enough for Day 1?
You don't get it. He nominated a justice. Congress refused to vote on it. Now they have more incentive not to vote on it.
she legitimately voted for Harambe
apparently so did 15,000 other people
