instead of dismissing it. Think about it. he tried to tank his campaign with batshit crazy comments. and the look on his face when he actually won. And when he sat with obama today. it all makes total sense.
I'm not sure it will happen so soon, but I agree, he most definitely doesn't want the job and do the work. He's a troll, a frat boy, who came up with this "amazing" prank, and now he's slowly starting to realize how much in over his head he is. The issue is he ego obviously, he can't just bow out because that would make him look awful to his voters. He could fake an illness, I guess, but considering that's what he attacked Clinton with (she's so weak!), I'm not sure he wants to go that route either. So he'll probably try to let his staff and Pence do all the work -- best thing anyone could do at the moment, is keep the guy busy as fuck, maybe that's why the meeting with Obama lasted much longer than expected. Or maybe I'm still in denial.

You are still in denial.

People keep fantasizing about he getting impeached even before taking office, or that he doesn't want the job (wut?) just because a few pics (the most probable thing is that he looks serious because that's his idea of being "presidential").

There are no shortcuts, Trump is going to be President of USA the next four years, at least. That's how it is.

but then you think about what he said to tank his campaign.

Has there been a survey taken of how many people who didn't vote and regret not voting?

any democrat who didn't cast a ballot in this election is a fucking moron.

mind you, the media are also morons for publishing so many bullshit "hillary is 99.99% totally going to win" polls.

doesn't exactly motivate people to get out and vote "oh, we got this, i'll just eat a burrito and chill".

Stop trying to cling to this, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. Even if this dream happens, Hillary is not going to be elected with 306 Republican electors. They would not change to Hillary and even if they cant agree on 1 guy, it still wont be Hillary as the house would decide and its Republican controlled.

Maybe in 4 years we can run The Situation for president next... They share the same credentials
- reality tv star
- disrespectful misogyny
- successful businessman (haha)
- never held an office
- egomaniacal sociopath
- likely racist af
- he was at the Trump roast on comedy central
- charged with tax fraud and avoided paying taxes on millions
- orange

Did i say anything about Hillary? I would hope that she wouldnt get elected.

Its funny. if you say you are in any way against trump that automatically means that you are with Hillary.

No im saying that they would choose someone else. Someone else who has govermental experience. Seriously look at his orange face when he won. He doesnt look excited, he looks scared. Also, his filter is on when he makes his winners speech. He actually sounds controlled and somewhat presidential. But throughout his campaign he was saying the most insane things, acting unhinged. He was trying to make it so he would loose but he would get close.

Writing is on the wall.

he will bow out before 19th of dec. calling it.

Salt prices are at an all-time high. This is Trump we're talking about.

It would be Romney

I don't think Trump is going to bail out or be impeached but that picture where everyone was clapping euthastically when he looks all slumped, deflated and tired...It really does look he probably wanted a close race but not exactly win it. Trump knows running president is a stressful-ass job.

Yup. Trump. Someone with no experience running a country. There will be an immense burden he will have to bear, and from the look of things he is not looking forward to it at all. He looks scared, not confident. He wanted to stroke his ego. Get close but not actually win, it would have made him ridiculously famous. It would go down in the history books. But he bit off more than he could chew and now is paying the price.

he has to give up all his businesses, all his privacy, his home, everything.

he doesnt want this. He wanted to play the game, because to him that is exactly what it is. The ultimate game.

Even if he doesnt bow out. He wont be running things.

Are you his biographer or something? This all seems like speculation, projection and wishful thinking.

your optimism is nice, no joke

I would love to be wrong of course. This shitshow deserves a dumb ending like that

Doesn't even matter if he's right. It'd just go to Pence then. Pence is practically Ted Cruz. And if it had been an election between Cruz and Trump with no other choices, I would've voted Trump and then jumped off a cliff because things had gotten to that point.

It's believable if you think that Trump doesn't actually care about helping people. His actions so far lead me to believe that he really only cares about power and feeling strong. I haven't heard of anything he's done (business, charity, or politically) that gives me any indication he really cares about people and not just about profit.

And even before all of this, he had his businesses and his TV show, and he was still powerful; but he also got to enjoy his power. Being president is stressful af, you really have to want that. It's not a fun job - I'd imagine being on your own TV show is a lot more fun than being president. And for 4 years straight? Yeesh.

From what we've seen of Trump, it doesn't seem like he has the strongest work ethic, either. He's always been an executive - he's never had to work his way 'up the ladder' - everything was essentially handed to him.

So, he's probably really overwhelmed and maybe even scared about the sheer amount of working he's going to be doing for the next 4 years - even if Pence is doing most of it. I'd imagine anyone would feel that way, but especially Trump.

Guys, remember when the Republicans kept calling Obama an elitist? Now they literally have a candidate that lives in a gold apartment in New York.

I think I am now beginning to understand how conservatives feel when Obama got elected and then re-elected. They felt like America just voted in the devil basically!

I don't think he'll drop out at all but I truly believe he regrets, or will regret, winning.

This man has spent the last, what, 40 years of his life doing whatever the fuck he wanted, however he wanted and whenever he wanted. His houses are nicer than the White House. His plane is nicer than air force one (and we've already seen his request to keep flying it instead...) etc. Now he actually has to work, hard, and NOT be allowed to act as he always has while making no profit. He has to continue running his businesses too, somehow.

This isn't a career politician achieving the ultimate goal, this is a dude who's narcissism led him to win a game. And now he's stuck living a life he doesn't want for at least 4 years. Hard work every single day. He can't just wake up and say "no, im tired let someone else handle it". It's hitting him. He's 70. He spent his whole life being rich and doing whatever. And this is a massively insecure person. You dont think he's having huge doubts and issues right now? Of course he is.

Again, I don't think he bails, but I also think it should be obvious to most that he likely isn't a super happy camper at the life changes he's now faced with this late in the game.

Personally I think he sticks to it more for the negative backlash he'd get from the deplorables if he cut and run than anything else. Unless he finds a viable excuse to blame it on some bullshit and fuck the country even more on his way out.

a lot of the outrage 8 years ago was about a black guy getting the job.

the Trump dislike is a lot different. he is unfit to hold office. conservatives think he's unqualified.

even ignoring all the racism/sexism issues, nobody wanted this clown representing us on the world stage.

Obama wasn't fucking with his opponents and the media on his first day in office tho

Except for half of voters, right?

He and his base are both in for bitter disappointment I think. He's gonna realise he isn't unopposed and they're gonna realise he doesn't give a fuck about them. TBH, it wouldn't surprise me if the job does him in.

Yeah I know I am just talking about it from an emotional point of view. I now completely see that people vote with emotion than logic. Policies be damned as long as you can somehow appeal to people's emotion.

You know damn well that the situations aren't even remotely similar.

The shit that happened after Obama was elected felt like "white-lash" as Van Jones would put it, because Obama was fucking pristine and actually did try and speak to every american. Trump is you know, the opposite, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. He(and his awful surrogates) was speaking predominantly to some interesting people. (and the majority of the Republicans were gonna fall right in line regardless, spineless pricks)

Sure, but they never had to worry about the personal safety of themselves and those around them.

This I believe 100%. A large part of his vocal fanbase are in for a huge fucking surprise. They aren't getting shit. They get to be openly racist, sexist and homophobic for a while maybe. Maybe that's all that mattered for a bunch of them. Financially? They're getting nothing. Likely losing a lot. And they deserve it.

It just really sucks for all the others in their situation who didn't vote him for him. The ones who did though? Yeah, I'm not shedding any tears if they lose it all. They'll find a way to blame someone else regardless. These people will NEVER admit being wrong about anything. It will always be the system. Even if it's the one they pushed for. That's a lost cause.
