If I was Trump, first thing I would do once in office is organize a rally, day one, announce it ahead of time to have a big crowd, but nothing huge, just something very secure away from protests.
And then I'd say:
"So I just arrived right? And I have a pile of bills from congress on my desk. Now I just got here right, this the beginning presidency, and we had such an important victory, a real victory! A victory for the people, not the establishment! I thought that was pretty clear right? Right? It's pretty clear to you all. Well for some reason, for some very peculiar reason, in that big pile on my desk, there isn't a single word about you, the people. You know what they're all asking for? You know what? Wall Street this, Wall Street that. It's all about the banks, all of it.
*crowd boos*
Do they have Alzheimer's disease? Did they already forget how they treated me, and you, during this whole campaign? Or... do they think
I forgot?
I haven't forgotten folks. They threw everything in the book at me, even stuff that wasn't in the book, things we had never seen ever ever in this country. Never did a candidate get attacked as much by his own party and the whole establishment, from Washington to the media to Wall Street. They didn't just attack me, they wanted me to lose, and by extension they wanted you to lose too.
And now, the first thing they ask me is to sign all of these things for Wall Street's sake.
Well, Wall Street, I know you're listening. Oh you're listening. And I have a message for you.
I owe you nothing. Nothing at all.
*crowd goes crazy*
And today I announce the following; I refuse to sign any bill whatsoever, until congress passes the Clean up Corruption in Washington Act. We're going to clean our own house first before we do anything else. The act as it stands might not be perfect, but I'm looking forward to work with congress to improve it if it needs to be improved, and sign it.
Now to my dear congressmen and women, I know they're listening. Oh they're listening now if they weren't a minute ago that's for sure.
If they make a fuss over this, if they refuse to work on this bill first and foremost, if they keep sending me bills that aren't the clean up bill, they're not going to have a good time. They won't have a good time at all, because I'm going to give you, the people, a little phone call, if you know what I mean. If Washington refuses to clean up its own house first, they'll see the biggest protests they've ever seen. It will be one for the history books folks.
So, congress, I'm not signing anything, and let's get to work on the Clean up Corruption in Washington Act, or these people are getting a phone call."
Pivot right? RIGHT?
