The game leaked a week ago? Bloody hell.
As for the game, everytime I try and get into a new Pokemon I get bored. I guess it's good to hear the new one tries to freshen things up a bit.

So... I pre-downloaded Pokemon Moon a bit ago and I've noticed something strange. My timezone is EST, but the "X days left" counter on the game has been going down every night at 9 PM for me. It's giving me a weird glimmer of hope that I can play tonight at 9, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Any other EST peeps in this thread seeing the same thing?

I've seen games get to 0 days left and still not unlock until the actual time its supposed to, so take it with a grain of salt for now

I have a question about chaining:
Say I encounter a wild Gastly. Gastly occasionally calls Misdreavus for help. I believe this is earliest opportunity to catch Misdreavus.
I then knock-out the Gastly and Misdreavus becomes the primary target.
Misdreavus, more likely than not, will summon another Gastly. Eventually another Misdreavus will come as well.
So, will the effect of the chain still benefit the subsequent Misdreavus, or will the improved IVs only apply for as many Gastly appear in a row?

They say that even if the items will be late, I've had that happen to me before. That said, doesn't mean your game will be late either, I've had them overnight air ship things to me to make it on release date. I've also had items that I'd preorder long in advance arrive 2-3 days late. It just depends.
Ya, this has happened to me with FE: Fates and the FE: Fates 3DS. Ironically I ordered the 3DS two days before release and got it on time but the games didn't arrive until the following Tuesday.
This is the first time I'll have cracked open my 3DS since Majora's Mask. It's about goddamn time.

And this is the Majora's Mask n3DS XL. I was so hyped about it, and I didn't even finish Majora's Mask. One dungeon left, but they delayed Zelda on the Wii U, so I quit out of frustration with Nintendo. Petty, I know.

I'm going to go to the mid night release of the Gamestop I have it preordered in and it's definitly in the shitiest part of town. The only way I won't go is if my digital preorder unlocks earlier then 12 AM eastern.

Since I didn't get an answer, I try again : I would like Rowlett AND Litten early on in my team. What's the best way to do so (if possible at all) without cheating...GTS? I don't know any 3DS owner around me either.

Easiest way to get a legal / legit one would be with GAF, probably. GTS I guess will be filled with people asking for legendaries or mythicals (as always).

You could probably ask someone on GAF to breed you one. I plan on getting a Rowlet myself and would be happy to help...assuming Ditto is available early on.

I feel ya; I'm in the US with the same situation. Kind of tempted to cancel my order (steelbook) and go to Gamestop tonight.

Thanks for all the answers. Since I'm in France the game is out in 6 days. I will pick Rowlett. I will come back here and if someone can provide me a Litten, it would be great! Also since many will be quite advanced in the game, it may be easier to get one even if I am at the beginning.

The problem with breeding right now is the IV though, without bankmons and something like DexNav / Friend Safari, relying on chains is a pain to get good Dittos.
Ha, that's nothing compared to a certain pokemon in the endgame. Trust me, I got so goddamn pissed I raged hard, I couldn't believe that was happening.

That won't be such a big deal once you've got a crew of pokemon (probably Smeargle) built up to chain effectively. It's been proven that 4 IV pokemon are the standard from lengthy chains so you just need to get a few Ditto with 4 IVs to breed and you should have a perfect one in no time.
It's those 0 Attack IV / 0 Speed IV spreads that will continue to be a pain.
Someone said you can save before picking your starter. Not sure if it's true, though.

Is there any guide yet to make a reliable chain?
There is a moment that you might be able to save right before the starter, but I can't remember if you move automatically or not.
EDIT: Nevermind, there is a huge cutscene after choosing the starter, before you can check the stats.

It's a special QR code to obtain the Pokemon, received, as of now, only in Japan.
I read that codes were region-specific (I have the Japanese version so it doesn't affect me in this case)so I don't think it should work on the US or EUR versions.
But you can always try, just google "マギアナ qrコード" and parse the image results.

In addition to the one you get gifted, there are Munchlax in the wild and you may want to invest in finding one as they carry Leftovers as a hold item and it would be beneficial to nab that early in the game. Plus, they call Snorlax at low health so you can just catch one of those if you don't want to happiness train a Munchlax.
