And honestly feels like one of those rushed, "I need to get some clicks" rumors that rely mostly on "common knowledge" for Pokemon.
I think the mechanic is the same, it's just that a lot of wild Pokemon in the early game have really high base speed. Smeargle has 75 and Meowth has 90. Everything else has around ~40.
End of 2017 release could be realistic assuming they have been working already on this game while for 3DS version.

Eclipse is so much better, even fits the legendary.

Wow, ya'll weren't kidding about how long it takes to SR for a starter. It took 4 tries, but I finally got one with a decent nature. I'll gladly stick with a neutral one. And as a bonus, it's female.
I read somewhere you can save before the starter and after the cutscenes.

Also Eurogamer has had pretty accurate Nintendo leaks all throughout 2016.

It takes a long time to see the stats, even saving right before the starter. Cutscene after getting it is still too long.

The only thing iffy about the rumor is "new pokémons".
New pokémons in a third game? Can someone help me and tell me when that happened? I don't mean stuff like new megas in ORAS, that's not a third game. How would the games talk, patch in new pokémons?

Not normal. Check your 3DS time. The sky turns dark when I was playing it around 7 pm.

I did that, but it still takes a few minutes. At least I wasn't trying to go for good IVs.

If they go the X/Y/ORAS route it would be pretty lame to be honest, it was a pain to leave behind some pokémons when playing with my X/Y only friends. But it's GameFreak so I don't doubt that is exactly what will happen.
I've been trying to get a female Popplio for a while now, but it's always male. Normally I don't care about this, but Primarina clearly looks like a girl and not a boy. I want to get it done so I can move onto the rest of the game...
And just as I'm typing this, a female Popplio appears. Nice, I should complain more often

Oh it seems like a forced time of the festival and now it's regular time. I was actually hunting Adamant Pikapek prior to ending the festival lol
I thought it was still daytime since Yungoos pops out, I thought only Ratatta come out in the night. Seems like it was a temporary daytime until you finish that part of the story.

In XY and ORAS it was pretty fast.
In SM though apparently the whole first island is tutorial-ish.
Berries respawn at midnight real time. There are a total of 14 berry trees I believe.
Well crud. I guess I might not even get a Crabrawler then. This is D/P Munchlax all over again.

Amazon just told me my Steelbook edition (which didn't ship till late last night) won't be here till Monday, even with my Prime. This sucks.
I got one in my second tree. I don't even want it.
It's funny because I find myself wishing I'd stop encountering the things during my daily berry runs x.x
This actually makes it harder for me to know whether or not I want to purchase a Switch. As with its other launch games the question is now becoming whether I want to re-purchase gems that I already own for that system that are coming with slight upgrades, or if I would rather wait and delay purchasing some of the new games moving out the are going to end up on it.
Once you get you Pokedex save your game and return to the main menu. Once there choose the "Mystery Gift" option and then choose the "Get via internet" option. Once you do that then as soon as you reach the first Pokemon center there will be a guy there waiting to give you a Munchlax (the pre-evolved form of Snorlax).
