Pokémon Sun & Moon |OT| Ultra Beasts and where to find them

Beat the first grand trial. Current team: Dartrix, Grimer, Butterfree, Bayleef, Grubbin, Munchlax. I recommend not abusing the Festival Plaza level up kitchen. Well, just one time is ok.

Also goddamn Hala's Crabrawler literally smashed my Grimer into a mountain.

Gen 2 starters in this? Que?

Is there any huge differences between the 3DSXL and the N3DSXL? My US system is just a 3DSXL and I want to download it today but my uk one is a N3DSXL however I'm not sure I can wait until Wednesday.

Not in terms of content, but there's performance issues and longer load-times on the OG 3DS.

I don't think there are any, or it's just Sun/Moon.

It's actually cool how they don't ask you if you're a boy or girl. You just pick the picture of the person you want to start with. If only they went another step further and made all clothing non-gender specific.

I noticed that too, but they use gendered pronouns throughout the game.

People already beat the game?!

No, I'm not talking about those that got early copies but people who got it last night.
You can rush through it in like 10 hours.

You'll have to do a lot of backtracking post-game to get all the TMs and shit, and you'll be tired as hell from the all-nighter, but it can be done.

So, just finished playing the 1st 30 minutes of the game and I am surprised that there is no 3D! What happened to 3D during the battles? Is the game all in 2D or are there 3D moments? I am just disappointed that there is no 3D during the battles at all!

Is it noticeable and worth me biting my tounge and waiting for Wednesday or will I be fine with the OG? I'm guessing the versions are region locked so I can't trade between a US version and a PAL version?

Vaguely interested in a new Pokemon.

But I've got to ask - is it all about the meta online battling? Or is there enough stuff to enjoy if you're not into the competitive stuff?

Easy way to get stuff from other version from GTS (before it gets ridiculous, lol.) I have Moon but I want Vulpix... I just QR scanned him from here and could request him since that registers it as seen on the Pokedex.

Started playing at exactly 12am est, played for over 9 hours straight. Feel like shitttttt today hahaha.

My team that I actually use is a Grimer, Dartrix, and a Rockruff. Grimer and Dartrix are 100% staying on the team, we'll see if Rockruff makes the final cut

...You could request anything you want just by typing it in manually.

But the QR feature is nice regardless.

How'd you get a Bayleef?? Are the second gen starters in or something? Don't answer that if it's spoilers, my stupid copy still hasn't arrived (UPS usually comes around 11-12, figures they'd be late today).

Edit: oops, post above me.

*. Use antidote to skip a turn if the Pokemon doesn't call for help or if you need to skip a turn. There's a bug that if your Pokemon isn't poisoned and you use an antidote it wastes the turn but not the item. Use potions to heal up or whatever.
The adrenaline orb also gives a failed text yet does not consume an item.

Anyone know the cheapest emway to get a Japanese copy of one of these ganes?
Japanese Amazon and digital download code is cheaper than eShop or retail.

PSA: Target does not price match with Amazon Prime.

I'm done trying. I'm just gonna wait till Tuesday. Fuck you Amazon.
I had that with Xenoblade X; got the game like 5 days late (it sat in the warehouse for a few days just because). I was able to get credit by complaining but my pre-order was over a year old.

Has anyone actually successfully found drifloon? Ive been trying for 10 minutes and have not encountered it
It is daytime only with Misdreavus being nighttime only.

I watched Werster play with animations off mainlining it and he got it done in about 9 hours with a Pokedex of less than 10 (team was something like
water starter, magnemite, cutiefly, Pelipper, dugtrio, exeggurtor and soleago
). Not a way to really enjoy it due to how many cutscenes there are. Better to take your time.

Mine got delivered but have a few hours till I'll be home. Still undecided between Litten and Rowlet. Going to get all three by trading with my sisters, but that might be a while before it gets done.

Huh so the way routes work in this game is very different. Route 1 consists of your house, the area north of your house, and the area south of your house.

In regards to Nuzlockes normally you can only catch the first pokemon you see in each route but the southern part of route 1 has several different Pokemon that aren't normally seen in the northern area that is also considered route one. It also seems as though there are only about 15ish routes (instead of the 30ish) you normally see so I think you can't go by named routes for nuzlockes in this.

Instead I think you'll need to use the Rotom map to actually see where areas are labeled and basically out each area as a 'route' since it specifically separates the northern route 1 and the southern route 1 despite them both being called route one. Actually looking at the map it directly lists the southern area as the 'Hau'oli Outskirts' So I guess that is technically a new route. What about the trainers school then, its apart of that same area but its a named place. Much more confusing then it needs to be XD Heck even the first town I think was still called Route 1 when I was saving, weird.

Odd situation but thats part of the figuring everything out. If you did only the areas named directly ROUTE 1 and what not you'd only be able to catch like 3 Pokemon on the first island its seems like and that doesn't sound right at all XD

So if you are Nuzlocking it be sure to pay attention to the dex map.
