Pokémon Sun & Moon |OT| Ultra Beasts and where to find them

Spent like, 2 hours getting a Bagon earlier. Love 1% encounters, super stoked that those are still around.

In better news, my Meowth got enough happiness from the grass circling and now I have Persian, so that's cool. Also has HP Ice which is great considering it's Technician and Modest.

Alright! Now I can play the game! It came yesterday, which is literally the first time I ever got a video game early, but I didn't get a chance to play it yet.

Hoping for some challenging battles. Setting the battle style to set and now I am ready to go.

When you get the EXP share I also recommend turning that off, I quite enjoyed my playthrough with that off.

So is Super Training in this game, or not?

I haven't seen any mention of Super Training, but tons of mentions of Hyper Training.

Is it not in the game at the start and you have to unlock it later, or what?

It's not, it's replaced with PokePelago and a stand in Festival Plaza

It's not, however SOS chaining is much faster. 2-3 minutes to max out an EV stat.

The salon getting my 4,000 pokédollars without showing me how my haircut would look, damn.

Had to spend another 4,000 to get it right.

To recap my RNG nonsense:

- Rowlet has a 1:9 chance of being female. I had to reset twice to get a female.

- Pichu supposedly has a 1:20 chance of appearing in that specific patch of grass outside the village. My second encounter when actively seeking a Pichu was a Pichu.

- Wingull and Pikipek are common Pokemon early on who have a 1:2 chance of being male, according to Bulbapedia. In 2 hours or so of grinding, I found one male Pikipek and no male Wingull.

Reminds me of all those times I had to play and replay levels in Tri Force Heroes because I kept getting the rare loot and I needed the common loot to craft an outfit.

Where you find that Bagon? That's my favorite Dragon Pokémon.

Wait a second, is this just because you didn't save at all until that point or did it corrupt the save? Hope theres not any save glitches.

Anywayz: Played for about an hour and loving it! It actually has a story, a step up from XY! I had a male Popplio sadly, but don't wanna reset so I'll just pretend its a transgender one and it can't get its passport changed. Is quiet nature good for it? I wanna keep it for comp if I can.

Such good presentation, i just wish I could use the D-Pad and it auto runs.
I didn't save up until that point, and trusted the message I got telling me the game was saving while trying to connect to the internet for social gameplay stuff.

Ended up starting over. Nearly back where I was.

This intro is ass though. Missing the feature Mario & Luigi's got where you just hold down R during cutscenes, and it fast-forwards through everything.

Not super fond of the game's UI. I'm guessing the bottom screen gets used for something at some point, but there's some things that would be done in less button presses.

I don't think I've ever had an intro of pokemon hold my hand for this long.

I'm running out of time to catch my Island scanner pokemon :(

Scored a haunter - and therefore a gengar - through wonder trade even though I've only just reached the big city. Neat. I'll have to play around more with that feature.

Wait...why's my Rowlet earning boosted EXP? Not that I'm comlaining, just want to know if its a limited thing or something I chose.

So I'm seeing there's a massive Imgur album of all the QR codes, but reading about them, it seems like they only offer up something you could get in the game yourself?

Is there some benefit to scanning all of them that can't be gained otherwise? Like, apparently they reveal the locations of those Pokemon, and every 10 or whatever, you get a shot at a rare or something... But I feel like revealing the locations of the Pokemon would be cheating in a way?

Natures don't really matter ingame.

Two things.

Raichu, Wimpod, and other I want to hyper train to play against others.

Even though this is ingame I can not mentally get over that no matter what I do I won't be able to max out that paticular Pokémon because of his/hers shit nature.

Seriously if anyone has a Mimikyu, could you please breed me an egg, I'll give you my starter for it or literally any mon (but right now all I've got is a starter)?

I just wanna start playing and I just want to play with a Mimikyu early on.

PM'ed you, but I just got the egg

So, is this game good as an actual RPG?

Does it at least provide a fun ride/story and present more of a challenge than the previous titles?

I have no interest in competitive pvp, just want to play a fun game that will keep me engaged from start to finish.

Last Pokémon I played was XY and was fun at first but it was so brain dead easy and repetitive that I gave up on it like 20 hours in.

Link to QR codes?
