I feel similarly. I'm probably not going to mind it as much as others, because the atmosphere is so fantastic but I'm curious to see how they change some events in the rumored Stars Version because damn how much I want that to be real and finally get a new 3rd version of Pokemon after so long.

I feel like my early Alola catches have been useless ;_;
got pipikek and ledyba and despite levelling them they are still less useful than the wingull and slowpoke I already caught

Grubbin is available on route 1 and it's pretty great.

I did, but I want one with Oblivious so when it becomes Tsareena, it'll have Queenly Majesty.
i loved red/blue and gold/silver, but then became really disenfranchised with pokemon with ruby/sapphire and black/white. i haven't played since then, my biggest problem was the speed of everything - battles were slow and making competitive pokemon was fucking torture. will i enjoy sun/moon? this seems like a return to form but idk where people's expectations are at since i've been out of the loop for so long. i might get a 3ds for this, a bunch of my friends are actually getting it or have it already. or if it's not amazing i might wait for the switch version. what's the general consensus?

I'm apparently getting fairly lucky with my team because as of right now I'm already at 4 of my 6 team members. Though one will eventually be replaced by The Nightbat.

European here, how good is Ribombee? I'm feeling a bit tempted to use one mainly because of how good itself movepool looks but I'm unsure on the stats.

I'm actually surprised I'm using new monsters only. This wasn't the case for me in X&Y.
I was initially a bit mad about having a low Pokemon count again but they did a good job setting them apart from one another. I think I want to use almost every new Pokemon, only a few exceptions I'm not interested in. In love with the game!

It's certainly up there for me. It hasn't topped Grovyle due to Mystery Dungeon though.
We better get a Mystery Dungeon game this gen. I want to see all the new Pokemon get personalities.

I think it's 42, actually. Raichu should be able to know thunderbolt by default from the move relearner, so maybe that's quicker.

Surely it is easier to pick up the TM somewhere?
From what I know of the TM locations, I don't think you get Thunderbolt until much later. Would love for someone to correct me if wrong though, since Pikachu is starting to drag me down.
