They aren't trying to show people how wrong he is with this. This is going to make the other X-Men angry and they'll be upset about how Cyclops was being used. On the Emma side they will probably write that the grief of losing Cyclops messed her up and redeem her that way.

This book has plenty of issues though lol.

This is supposed to be the explanation for why Storm and the others were upset with "what he did" and blamed him for renewed mutant hatred. It simply doesn't work and makes the other X-Men look even worse than before.

I hope IvX is going to bomb so that Marvel once and for all gets the message.

Read it earlier. Ruined my mood. Genuinely a terrible book/event. X-Books are awful, were better when Bendis was on them, that's how bad they are now.

The only explanation I have about this is that Marvel just didn't know what the noddle incident was or changed their minds in the last second. Everyone post-SW talked about how Cyclops did something horrible and out of character, so maybe they planned the "Wasn't actually Cyclops, but Emma" since the beginning, but decided to change what they did before this event.
Remember that Storm said to Old Man Logan to kill Sunfire if necessary because he was on Cyclops team when "he did that thing" or something like that, but in this comic he just fly Alchemist around.

Maybe they originally planned Cyclops' team to do things much more extreme than Cyclops would ever do, like destroying a Inhuman embassy killing dozens of innocents, but chickened out in the end because that would make Emma truly irremediable?

As I said I don't even understand what their point with this is anymore. They want the readers to agree with Storm's view but they fail to show Cyclops actually do anything awful.

This is so baffling and amateurish there just has to be something going on at Editorial. Major disagreements.

He better be a boss when they inevitably bring him back.

Tired of my boy getting shat on.

He legit didn't even do anything wrong this time, AGAIN!

So did Havok just say, "fuck it" and go back to the Mutant X timeline?
If not, then Havok needs to reform the Brotherhood and just nuke all the Inhumans.

Okay so I've been trying to keep up with this whole Terrigen Mists killing mutants thing somewhat and I gotta ask, how is Cyclops keeping his people from dying by a Terrigen Mist cloud enough for Black Bolt to fly down and kill him? They have more clouds and the mists haven't been stopped, so why kill Cyclops over this? They have more clouds. Inhumans are popping up more often then mutants are and aren't being killed off by a genocidal death cloud.

Every time Marvel tries to make Scott look like the bad guy they end up making him more right.

People talking about Emma, she has an excuse being filled with grief, Storm is the worst, the fuck is her problem, ya boy did nothing wrong. And she's on Team Carol.

Because Marvel doesn't write conflict well at all.

They haven't been able to write a good conflict involving the X-Men in almost 20 years.

I mean... if being team leader when a supe makes a heroic sacrifice to save thousands of lives makes you basically as bad as hitler, you'd expect a lot of soul searching from, well, every frigging super team leader ever

This further confirms that I don't have to read X books ever and just wait for some one to tldr it. That's some lame shit

Tony should be the most hated man in existence at this point then.

I strongly suspect the red cloud was originally intended to cause something Very Bad. Like it rolls over a town and kills thousands of homo sapiens or something like that.

Well that's awful.

Hopefully the Phoenix ress's him and gives him the power to kill fucking everyone.

Except Emma and maybe Goldballs.

god, this is like when Magneto got branded a monster for killing the red skull. That's not the innocent lives he taken, but the fucking red skull, btw was running a mutant camp. Man morality in marvel comics is so fucked sometimes I the writers live on a different planet.

Well, now that that is out of the way I expect Teen Jean/Cyclops will at some point be aged to adulthood and acquire the memories of the adult originals.

Oh I'm sorry, killing off New 52 Superman with cancer to bring back old Superman is perfectly fine. Let alone Man of Steel 2 aka BvS

When was the last time you could make the argument that a Superman ongoing was possibly the best cape comic being currently published? Gleason and Tomasi are doing some great work right now.

I was talking specifically about the "Cyclops is wrong/right" thing you mentioned.

Also, we already know Marvel is planning on taking the X-Men in a completely different direction similar to the older books so I don't see what IvX bombing would do.

Then I honestly don't see your point because that's what they are trying to do. They want to depict him as being "in the wrong", as in taking it too far with the revolution.

IvX bombing would show them that they can't force Inhumans into the market just because they really want to.

Alright. That's it. I give up. Cancelling my MU sub. It's up for renewal in January but it's time for me to walk away for a while. I was on the fence but I don't have a lot of interest in reading what they've been producing the last 6 months or so.

Remember when Cyclops murdered his mentor and father figure Professor X.

Remember when Professor X had been directly responsible for countless deaths and his killing was both justified and long overdue?

Dude wasn't a mentor to him, he turned Cyke into a child soldier, something that Morrison explored a little but hasn't been touched on since which I think is missing out on a really great story beat that's not this same stupid "THE MUTANTS ARE AT WAR" shit they keep trying.

Who was about to make him comatose and showed time and time that you don't trust with your brain because he will fucking re-write everything about you? Yeah.

It has nothing to do with want. The need the Inhumans to supplant the X-Men because they aren't going to get X-Men movie rights back as an in house thing.

I know this. This was implied in what I'm saying. They need to directly see that they are losing money on this idea. Even more than they are now (Inhumans team books are already selling very poorly).

But at this point I don't think money from comic sales are even factoring in, they need to force the public perception and relegate the X teams to the backburner whether they make money or not.
