N O offence to Ueda but are we surprised by this???

I love his games but I've come to accept ha messy controls
well its not really something you have to accept as a flaw, but Ueda has stated the controls are a design decision for the game. The boy is a small, uncoordinated child running for his life, he's supposed to feel clumsy and mess and disoriented.

The camera issues are likely something that can only be refined with time, and will vary from person to person how annoying it is.

I personally never found the controls difficult to adjust to in either game, and I can only assume there are some reviews out there that can beat Devil May Cry on Dante must Die mode who will adjust accordingly. If the game packs the emotional punch, it'll review well.

Inside and Journey are good examples I think, I'm not sure TLG will really be different, I think reviews will say control takes getting used to and the only knock will be camera, it should be high 80's and maybe hit 90's, after all, games that leave a strong lasting impression tend to have their flaws ironed out with the final score/thoughts.

Fully expecting reviewers to mark this down for feeling like a "last gen" game despite practically no game having actually felt "next gen" this entire generation. Though that may just be me being a cynic.

Still though; this is the one game after MGSV that I've had such extreme levels of hype for. I still get teary-eyed watching the trailers, don't want to know how I'll be once the credits roll.

WHAT.

Better get my ending prediction out there now then:

You as the young boy will be forced to kill Trico.

My prediction:

Trico and the boy survive the encounter. Trico and the boy grow up together. Trico dies of old age, and the old man looks back fondly on the time he first met his big best friend, which is what prompted him to tell the story of the Last Guardian.

Some extra comments from the Canadian reviewer on Reddit.

Disc version is 13.9 gb with patch.

So the environments can look late ps3 to current ps4. You can tell this game could never run on ps3. When you all get your hands on it you will see what I mean. The scope and scale is unlike anything I've seen. The animation on trico is jaw droppingly incredible. The framerate dipped a lot but I played the debugged pre release version. I'm sure a day 1 patch will fix that.

There are blocks and puzzles in the vein of ico. Most of the time the puzzle is just identifying areas of the environment that look treadable and then getting to know all of tricos commands. ... It plays to how observant a gamer you can be. Very subtle.

It has technical problems like wonky camera and control at times and it's still my new favorite game of all time.

I'm bracing for a lot of "clunky animations" and "bad unresponsive AI" from all those "professional" reviewers who don't have a clue about Team Ico games.

Not that i give a shit mind you.

Do we have a reason to assume there's a Day-1 patch to address framerate jitters? I don't mean that as a quality indictment, but unless Team Ico itself said so, that seems overly optimistic.

Team Ico's previous games have proven how engrossing a title with technical issues can be.

Seems like most every game has a day 1 patch these days.

We all know what happened to postponed/delayed games. It will all sucks. This one beyond a doubt will follow the same pattern. I bet the gameplay time till completion will be short as hell , 4 hours max.

If you're being sarcastic, you should make it more obvious.

I've seen too many shitposts today to know anymore.

I really like that idea, but it's far more likely that it'll end with him turning to Trico and saying:

"You know Trico, you really are The Last Guardian."

My shot at an emotional ending:

Boy is actually in his deathbed by the time he finishes his story, and Toriko shows up with fully grown wings to take his old friend in one last flight up the sky and into the sunset.
