The follow-up to Siege was never gonna be that.
That said, they were messing around with a singleplayer Rainbow Six concept a few years ago in parallel to Siege 2, but who knows what might be the status of that -- for all we know, it might have been one of the several unannounced Ubi projects that were axed over the past 18 months.

I long for the days of 3rd person tactical shooters. I don’t know why the entire industry builds every game in every genre in first person. Games like R6, SOCOM, and GRAW are sorely missed.
When a rumor turns into official news or if there's a new announcement, it's better to create a new thread instead of bumping an old one.

With the exception of Socom, every single one of these were an FPS primarily.
The video looks exactly like the first game. No news burger.
Siege was such an interesting concept.
The gameplay is tight, the idea of specialization in the operators is good but then, Ubisoft being Ubisoft, they went full retarded/PC on the operators/art direction.
Still waiting for an Israeli operator and single player scenarios.
Lets hope that you can reuse at least some of the operators in the "new" game.

Raven Shield and Black Arrow were more my jam back in the day, but Vegas was great fun. Those were the last RB6 games I actually enjoyed. We've been stuck with this shit for almost 10 years lol.

The numpad enter shit were afterthoughts.
ps. I ain't going through my moving boxes to photo UO. GR 1 + Island Thunder, R6 + Eagle Watch, etc.
ps2. Peak R6 was Raven Shield.
You can still play that game online if you know where to look, but Vegas was a good game too. Every now and then i still install both.

Oh man! I miss Rogue Spear and Raven Shield. I didn't enjoy Vegas back then because it was more a corridor shooter rather than "clear this giant museum with the Egyptian expo of terrorists" type of game

raven shield is the only good "modern" r6 IMO (and only the PC version; xbox had gameplay changes that made it much more casual).
recall having 1st person gun models was a bit controversial, considering the game's heritage and emphasis on precision (the issue being gun models obstruct your view).
original r6 and ghost recon games were peak r6 for me.
perma-death, working as a team to cover flanks and coordinate assaults, stance/movement having a massive effect on accuracy, having to wait for the reticle to settle, etc.

RS3 on OG Xbox live was so damn good.... Even if the hit detection was terrible it was still so much fun.

You guys know your shit. Rainbow Six 3. Oh and I had thousand+ hours in Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike. Black Arrow had me playing for HOURS every single day.

Black Arrow was superb, I spent hours upon hours playing RS3 and BA I also played Ghost Recon and Island Thunder loads too.
Back when Ubi were actually good!!!
