cause we all know it's coming

I really hope it's more cosmetic rather than straight up new characters every couple of months like SFV. cause there is a metric fuck load of cosmetic DLC they can sell for capcom and especially marvel characters

would be nice for them to try a different DLC rollout plan for a different game

I remember thinking that for Marvel 3.

We did get Shuma and Jill (who were on the disks oops) but then the earthquake happened and we then got UMVC3 and that was it for Marvel.

Frankly, I think that would be the way to go with X-Men. It will help allow flexibility with Fox while allowing Marvel to still have full control over the base game.

I get that Marvel and Fox aren't playing nice, but this article doesn't really say no X-Men at all.

If you look at UMVC3, it has an MCU focus as well, but still has X-Men. Sure, things with Fox weren't *quite* as bad when MVC3 was in development, but if we assume the roster will be at least 30+ characters, unless it's plainly stated there will be no X-Men, I think we'll still see the mainstays (Wolverine, Sentinel, Storm, Magneto).

Also, Polygon isn't clarifying it very well in the article, but Fox only has control over X-Men films. Even on the TV side they had to ask Marvel for permission to do the upcoming shows. It's true that Marvel doesn't want to bring anymore attention to the X-Men (and FF) than they have to, but they have 100% control over adding said characters in MVC4 if they want to. Fox has no say in the game roster at all.

One thing I will say is that Marvel isn't stupid. They know the MVC series has been a mainstay for X-Men characters and I doubt we'll see that change just to spite Fox... at least I hope not.

Wolverine, like Ryu on the Capcom side, is the one character that has been in ALL the vs games with marvel characters, and in all capcom marvel fighting games while we're at it.

Magneto was missing from a couple of entries.

Yeah, if they really stick with the whole "latest cartoon voice actor" creed, i can see them getting her. Dushku was okay as a sort of teen/young adult Shulkie, but I really like Barrera's sound of maturity and experience

If they bring back Iron Fist, I can see them getting Greg Cipes, but again, he was okay as a young Danny, but I really liked Loren Lester's "Adult" Danny.
