Personally hoping for a Shenmue 3 gameplay trailer, but I am not very confident that they have anything to show in that regard. The ETA of the game is supposed to be end of 2017, but to me this seems overly optimistic.

Other things I'm hyped for are Mahvel and SFV Season 2 showings.

Edit: And another thing I would love is if they show stuff like: "And this is how good Horizon will look on the Vanilla PS4, you filthy early adopting peasants are not getting a lesser version of the game!". Like, I know that it will look better on the Pro, but show us that they don't phone it in for early adopters and optimize that shit graphically so it takes full advantage of the given hardware.

For context, he's been saying since September they plan to do a big video/picture update in December.

In fairness to them, they only really began work on the prototype in January. The back end of 2015 was staffing up and performing basic tests.

But then again, the video the Yu Suzuki dinner backers saw in Japan was apparently further developed than they'd expected, and was actually cut together in June for an abandoned E3 showing.

in less than a year.

Just perfection.

Honestly wouldn't have minded if it was delayed a bit so From could finish optimizing the game lol. Love the game but it was released a tad undercooked.

I think it's less of a surprise that TLOU2 is happening at all, like you said it was pretty obvious. But more of a "big surprise" it is (seemingly) being unveiled at this show when most were not expecting it until next E3 at the absolute earliest, and just expecting the UC4 singleplayer DLC at PSX. I think that's what he meant when he wished it was a complete surprise.
