Obama to hold press conference at White House on Friday

Would literally cream my pants if Trump is arrested for treason today.

It'll be nothing. My underwear is safe.
 
I would hope the press asks Obama about the NBC report that he didn't do anything because he thought Hillary would win and that he knew a long time ago but didn't want a cyberwar.

The press won't though as they have a forever love in with Obama and never challenge him on anything. Instead they will just ask about Trump.

I really don't think Obama is calling a press conference many days in advance to make such a meaningless declaration as he leaves office.
 
I expect to be disappointed with Obama just like the last 6 months. It's fucking nothing.

I love this dude, I wish he was eternal president, but some shit he's said or done this year has made me fucking sad.

I fully expect this to be the case. Without a hundred smoking guns, he's not going to take any meaningful action against Trump or probably Russia for that matter. It would be something to announce some sort of sanction against Russia just to have Trump reverse it once he gets in.

That dude is clueless. Americas military is built on the lower class which is more right than left. There would be mass mutinees if a left wing government oppressed the people. If trump deviates from his right wing voting base, this wont work as well.

The Australian comedian knows nothing about everything. It would be best to never reference him again when it comes to gun discussion, or any discussion really.

Edit: if you had an understanding of guerilla warfare you would know how a military force will lose when oppressing civilians. It doesn't know who are combatants until they fight so it would end up like Iraq where civil dissent would become impossible to stop. You cant shoot every person because then there would be noone, so military strength would cease to be a factor.
 
I have it from sources that Obama plans announce that he has put Putin on double secret probation and that through their own hacking efforts they have uncovered that Putin likes to ride horses shirtless.

To be fair presidents often hold December press conferences before going on vacation. This isn't a break of tradition or some last minute never done before event.

This is very true. The rank and file military as well as the officer class come from a lot of the reddest of red states and the army itself is sworn to uphold the constitution. If Obama or any President tried to stay in power and keep the democratically elected winner of the election out of office, there would be a military coup de'tat and anyone involved would be removed from power faster then you could blink.

Oh I know, I'd sooner just expect this to be a happy holidays conference than anything else such as some ineffectual finger waggling. It's either a "Happy Holidays" or its something of actual substance.

He can (and has already) wagged his finger at Russia in interviews, so doing it again is rather pointless.
 
I'm not really hoping that anything's going to stop Trump with this press conference. Well, I am, but it's not going to happen. I'm hoping he can say something that can get some people out of complacency.
