Based on what, exactly?

I like Obama, but what exactly has he done to be along the best in the last 100 years? He's basically a good man and a competent president, but hes also completely spineless and values collaboration with Republicans over fighting for the American people.

Time and time again he's been like Charlie Brown as the GOP played the role of Lucy pulling the football away. When push comes to shove, he capitulates. Sometimes he likes to capitulate preemptively.

Whether it's the expiration of the Bush Tax cuts, the debt limit, sequestration, the public option,or social security cuts Obama folded on those issues. If he were President for life, we would probably see the safety net slowly erode as he bargained it away with Republicans to keep the Government open.

Edit: I do like Obama and think he's a good person, who often had the right idea... But he has often not been effective when he could have and it was high profile.

Strong economic recovery, getting us out of two awful wars, ridding the world of Bin Laden as well as much of the head of the Taliban, endorsing same sex marriage, establishing a precedent for health care that cannot be denied due to preexisting conditions, and much more that I'm forgetting at the moment.

I dissagree with Obama in a lot of things, but at least he didn't let the worst terrorist attack in the history of the USA happen despite clear evidence that it could occur nor did he start an illegal war in the Middle East under the flimsiest of excuses since the sinking of the Maine.
 
What actually happen: "Uh, here's the last few things I'm doing as president. Also, I might mention something about conflict of interest or Russia, but not actually do anything."

What could plausibly happen, but almost definitely won't: "We have a smoking gun showing Russia actually horribly screwed with the election, we need to redo the election."

What will never happen, but is fun to dream about: "We found a loophole in some law that say I get to be president for a third term."

What doesn't even make sense in a fantasy context: "alright boys, it's Civil War II! And then Obama shoots wildly into the air"

I mean, if he has a contingency of loyal secret service and special ops forces around him he could theoretically declare martial law and just never end his second term.

But yeah that isn't going to happen.

Oh please. Obama's Middle Eastern policies have been completely disasterous and will have ramifications for decades to come.

Oh.. well.. when you put it like that.

What you're responding is why we get our asses kicked in elections we should win. We can't hold our politicians accountable without becoming dejected and being dismissive towards any accomplishment that doesn't get us everything we wanted from the platform.

He does this every year before the holidays. I'm not sure why people are ignoring that. He probably will touch on Russia and China, but that's it.
