Dang, I bought it on GreenManGaming for $17. Oh well, at least it's still better than Steam plus I don't get charged tax. But that download size though, good grief.

Also bought Dragon's Dogma, Momodora and Overcooked. Momodora feels a little too floaty for me, don't like it. Might return it and get something else. Maybe Axiom Verge or Shovel Knight. Any other cool 8bitter?

Looks like you can buy GamersGate "BlueCoins" in pounds and then buy from the US site if you were worried about region.

It will still be the same amount.

My fuck up is someone's gain I guess.

Oniken and Odallus.

Damnit, Sell/Quick sell buttons are gone from my inventory. Wonder if it's server side or I should delete my cookies/cache in hopes it gets fixed.

About 12 hours in Symphonia, it's pretty good. Story is intriguing and the combat system is fun.

Some downsides: it's pretty grindy, some parts requires tedious backtracking and most of the puzzles are annoying (instead of making you think it's just doing something simple that takes a lot of time).

I think I've found a bug on the marketplace. Currently the Steam marketplace allows you to place buy orders (i.e. a request to purchase something that is not immediately fulfilled). For example, suppose a dope sick as Scrooge McDuck emote is trading for $5, and I want to pay $0.05, I can offer that. Then, as the price falls, buy orders are served in a sort of Dutch auction fashion. This is cool, it all works well. I'll probably never get Scrooge for $0.05, but whatever.

Because the marketplace doesn't have a wishlist, I use buy orders as a wishlist. I put in deliberately lowball buy orders on stuff I want to come back to later. They never get fulfilled, or if they do it's because of a price collapse, either way win win. You aren't billed until the order is fulfilled. So I have a few hundred small buy orders for stuff I'm keeping an eye on.

There is a limit to the number of buy orders you can put in -- 10 times in dollars your current Steam balance. So if you have $5, you can put in $50 worth of buy orders. I guess this is to avoid them having too many unfulfillable orders, so that if it does become your turn to buy something, the money is likely to be there. That makes sense, we don't want someone accruing thousands of dollars of buy orders with no money in their account and then having them all misfire when the time comes. It's not even clear what they should do -- give you dibs on the item and let you overdraft, or pass to the next best buy order?

One way you can have more than 10 times your current Steam balance is to spend your current Steam balance. Say you have $50 worth of buy orders because you have a $5 balance and then spend the balance. Now you have $0.00. You sell a few cards so you have $0.10. Ten times your balance would be $1--you have $50 in buy orders. The marketplace is fine with this, it just won't let you place any more until you cancel old buy orders or increase your balance. Again, totally makes sense.

Okay, here's the bug. Suppose you have $0.50 and $10 in buy orders (you are overleveraged in your buy orders). You see an item for $0.23 and buy it outright by buying for the requested price. As a result, Steam never actually needs to create a buy order for the future, they can just charge you right away and give you the item. Unfortunately, that's not how Valve rolls; instead what they try to do is immediately create and then resolve a buy order. But since you are overleveraged, you can't create the buy order. So you can't buy the item, even though you have enough money, because your wishlist has too much on it.

Maybe this isn't a bug so much as a stupid but intended design feature. But they should fix it. I'd open a ticket, but they're currently on week 3 or 4 of ignoring the last bug I opened with them because they honestly suck at this stuff.

As a consumer, no dailies are better. As a fan, dailies are the best. I miss that surprise, wonder, and constant excitement.

Ucharted 4 late-game spoilers- wow, I really hope what I just watched wasn't an absolute glaring plothole and just my cold glossing over important details

In the chapter where Nate is recalling his and Sam's search for his mother's belongings, they're forced to run from the police and leave their old identities behind (thus becoming the origin story as to why they took on the surname "Drake"). But there's no real way for the police to know who the two boys were specifically. The old woman who called the police couldn't have known when she called. And the only evidence to tie them to the crime scene was the disappearance of their mother's journal, but unless the police were willing to CSI the fuck out of that entire treasure trove of historical artifacts and documents, there's be little way to connect the boys. The woman was sickly and an autopsy would've just shown that she died of natural causes, so there'd be little need to go through such hassle.

Even if it was just a "misunderstanding" on the boys part, it's still kind of shit explanation for what should be an iconic backstory item.

I've never gotten into Civ because of it being a massive time sick. I am tempted, though. This deal seems quite good. Or maybe I should just get V for really cheap since I've never played any, just to try it out? Or screw it and just go all in?

Or ignore and continue having a life and being able to play many games.

Get 4.
