DONT CLICK THIS IF YOU HAVENT PLAYED PONY ISLAND

someone
started messaging me on steam while "the moment" was happening and I couldnt focus or tell what was real anymore
and it was FUCKING WITH MY BRAIN

DONT CLICK THAT IF YOU HAVENT PLAYED PONY ISLAND

I actually really liked the videogame parts of it, like the puzzles and shit. I thought they were nicely done. There is nothing I can say wrong about this game. Damn...

That
3rd core
was definitely one of the most memorable gaming moments of the year for me.

Stop posting awesome gifs and talking about rhino penises for games not under 10€ damn it.

What is even going on in that gif lol
hey man i only ever mentioned that once, why do u keep bringing it up o_O
I already told u could go ahead with ah3 if u want, stay focused man.

I read somewhere earlier that games purchased during the sale can't be refunded.

I just had the Doom pack refunded for me. Crashes bad if you wiggle the mouse.

Rest assured that's patently false. The refunds FAQ even states the following:

We do not consider it abuse to request a refund on a title that was purchased just before a sale and then immediately rebuying that title for the sale price.

Just played an absolutely absurd amount of Overwatch today.

Steam was down half the day ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I feel ya. Got it for Christmas and got bored of CSGO because it was eating an absurd amount of time in my life. Overwatch allows me to play casual matches that don't have a billion people, which valve will not add to CSGO for some stupid reason.

Anybody played Lego Worlds? It looks fun but the last time I looked at it was a year ago when it was announced.

My first pick up this sale was a huge success. Just finished Abzû in a single sitting. If you love Journey you owe it to yourself to get this. What a gorgeous game. A beautiful ode to the sea. Not since Journey have visuals and music come together so beautifully.

Don't sleep on this game people. Go and get it.

Heh, trust me you need to finish the 2nd one. How far in did you get?
I played up
the murder in the beach house.I don't remember who exactly got killed there but the story up to that point didn't really grab me. Eventually I might pick it up again once DR3 gets released
.

Dead Rising 3 is already out, unless I'm missing a different acronym

There's not really much I can say without going into spoiler territory, but I'd say stick with it because the twist is crazier than DR1s and the ending is fantastic. Case 5 is also without doubt the best in the entire series.

What's the best way of finding the individual games of the sale that has the biggest actual discount in terms of money, and not the biggest percentage off? Like the 18€ off Massive Chalice and the 23€ off Satellite Reign.

Bought more than I thought today. My brother got Evil Within 2 days ago for $20 and it's on sale for 6 today. Not sure how much he played I hope he can refund for the discount.

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/46084/ <-- regular $300, 70% off, $120 ($180 off)

Okay, but seriously, I filtered to 80% off or more and sorted by price descending.

Stronghold Crusader 2 ($50 -> 90% off -> $5; savings of $45); ditto Serious Sam 3 Gold, Blackguards Deluxe Edition, Shadow Warrior Special Edition.

Below that Transformers: Fall of Cybertron ($50, 80% off = $10; $40 off); same for Sniper Elite 3, Transformers Devastation.

There's a handful of games $36 off.

Your best bet is to go here, filter by a high % discount, then sort by remaining price. Stuff near the top is perforce the steepest discount in numeric terms.

Add every single game to your wishlist and use Enhanced Steam to sort by discount (amount).

Some keys from Humble Bundle :)

I will be the dissenting voice and say that you aren't missing anything. DR2 has a couple of high points, like Komaeda, but it is almost a straight downgrade from the original. Extremely disappointing.

The only reason I'm not buying Abzu is because I've a feeling it'll be in a Humble Bundle. Otherwise, it would be mine already.

Witness at $20 is my main debate today. Hmm. At $10, I'd jump but at $20, it is still a consideration.

i'm mostly considering axiom verge + the age of decadence right now, tho some other games are tempting, but nothing i can't live without for a beet. cleaned up my wishlist as well since it was filled with shit i'd probably won't need to remember

i'll probably not buy anything else cos i don't even have time to play all these games (i know i know...)

also after all this talk decided to buy one month worth of gamepump to give it a shot. i get the feeling we'll get vectorman instead of zelda or something, but i'm giving it its one chance at least

go for it if you like puzzle games, it's well worth the asking price if you value wealth of content, quality and profoundness

it really is an amazing game, easily one of my favorite games ever

never played 1, so it might be a downgrade, but dead rising 2 is great imo

i really enjoyed the characters and the story and crafting shit was pretty fun and i just love games that use time in interesting ways like this

maybe 1 is better but 2 is great

The Witness is one of the best games of this year imho, well worth that price. Beat in 30h, and with a puzzle completion rate of about 55%. Great price for a great game, and you will probably figure out in the 2h refund window if it's a game for you or not.

idk about that 2hr window thing

i kind of had a love hate relationship with the witness for like 20hrs before my brain aligned with it and i started getting obsessively into it

but yeah if you're not into puzzles you're not gonna like it from minute 0

Beat the Witcher 3.

Ciri a Witcher
Black ones won

Got to do Heart of Stone main quests and about 2/3 of the question marks left in Skellige. Then it will be Blood and Wine time.

In this case, DR is Dangan Ronpa.

Good to hear Dead Rising 2 is great, though. I bought it for my sister for Christmas.

Set on Saint Seiya and Pony Island so far. (Already have Saint Seiya on PS3, but 60FPS tho.)

How are you guys feeling about the Metal Gear Rising and Black Mesa prices? Could I do better on those? I'm on mobile for a few days, so I can't use Extended Steam to figure it out. :/

ahhhh

i hate acronyms

(also it's really late here and i'm sleepy and breezed past that komaeda thing that should've made me realize i'm talking dumb stuffs)

It's all good.

Do you remember whether Dead Rising 2 has a respawn mechanic, or do you go all the way back to your last save when you die? My sister really liked how forgiving the checkpoints were in the Dead Island series.

it's missing tomb raider go, arguably the best tomb raider game ever :p

can't remember how it was exactly right now, but i'm pretty sure you had to hard save by going to the bathroom like in dead rising 1

i have a memory in my head of maybe having some minor checkpoints on like some story bosses but i'm not really sure

it's definitely a lot less forgiving than dead island, tho waaaaaaaaaaaay more interesting imo

she might like dying light if she likes to wack at zombies without a care in the world. i don't entirely like dying light since its early game sucks major butt but once u unlock a few parkour moves it can be really fun (i personally liked to play it "non-lethal" as much as i could)

Yeah but you stayed for 20h still, and I think that if you want to continue playing after 2h, there's something there for you.

Thanks. And dang, that's a good call on Dying Light. That probably would have been great for her.

yeah that sounds alright, but what i meant is that those first two hours don't really tell you anything you didn't know from just looking at the store page

it's an abstract puzzle game with a myst-like structure designed by the guy that directed braid, which means it has some weird shit in it

in those first two hours you don't really get much more knowledge from it other than discovering some weirdo hate for maze puzzles :p

specially know that he fixed that motion sickness stuff

It's certainly the best one released this year. Not even close really.
my experience with tomb raider games is 1, 2 and go. 1 and 2 i thought were pretty much unplayable even was a kid, go i think is a fantastic game and one of my favorites this year (i played it on android but i bet it's good on pc too)

Thanks. And dang, that's a good call on Dying Light. That probably would have been great for her.
imo you gifted her the better game (tho they go for totally different things, so not the fairest of comparisons)

dead rising 2 is a really charming, interesting and rewarding game, and it's kind of fucked up but in a way that i at least enjoyed a lot (tho i do prefer games that are interesting but clunky to ones that are polished but safe)

Stellaris went from 60% the first day to 33% now. Glad I managed to pick it.

You're right, damn I was thinking about picking it up at the end of the sale.O_o So devs can change the sale when they want now?

Did I miss something, but when did they remove the time counter on games so one knows how long it's on sale for?

I am setsuna runs fine but inwouldnt recommend getting it
Grandia 2 and the trails series are better alternatives

I already have it, friend gifted it to me, yeah it runs fine, for some reason the game doesn't like me downsampling it so I kept getting framerate lock with some resolutions, but leaving it at 1920x1080 works fine.

I'm enjoying it so far, reminds me of the older SE rpgs, easy to get into and relaxing to play.

A couple of questions:
  • How is God Eater's gameplay? Is it similar to the Monster Hunter games? I would love to have something like MH on PC, crafting and all.
  • Anyone tried House of Dying Sun? How are the battles? Are they deep and "simulator"-like or it plays more like an arcade?
