2017 PC Screenshot Thread

First time poster here, so please be merciful.
I hope people don't hate Witcher shots by now.

Gnah, okay, so flickr compressed the bmps.
I will edit my first post.

Fixed. Everything else should be regular color banding and film grain.

Wow.... I was about to start Witcher 3 sometimes soon on ps4 but now........ I just hope the ps4 version is not ugly compared to this, it's beautiful.

Looking forward to another great year with beautiful screenshots.
I'm going to try and take a few more shots myself as well, at least more than I did last year now that I know how SRWE works.

Dear Lord, these shots are amazing.

I was going to post some 4K Dead Space shots....but nah... they ugly

It looks great on consoles too. Go to the console screenshot thread and look for the game play caps. Looks fantastic still. Of course PC is best though depending on pc.

What camera tools are people using to take screenshots of games?=O

depends .

a few game games like DOOM 2016 come with a built in photomode + freecam .

In other cases a third party tool like cheat engine is used to hack the in game camera controls

failing all that there is still the good old fashioned wallhugging method .

Hmm, I need to get into cheat engine.

I don't remember where I saw it (the reshade forums? dead end thrills forums?) but someone posted about a photoshop filter that basically applied post-process AA to an image. Anyone know what it is/where I can get it?

I did that trick to convert to jpeg and resize multiple files with FastStone. Is this how it goes?

S'all good. But just a heads up, your brightness is too high. The lower 24 blacks are completely unused, and the upper 24 have a huge spike in presence.

Might wanna try lowering the brightness to a nice middle ground.

Here's an example of how it looks with the colors spread a bit more evenly across the full range.

Fair enough; didn't touch the brightness setting (It's already on half on the game), but I'll lower it in future screenshots

I'm pretty sure that Duncan of "DET" was using it! But it's called "PSOFT"

here is the link>>> http://www.psoft.co.jp/jp/product/antialiasing/
Sadly there's only a japanese version available. :( (which is kind of hard to use unless you know kanji) Looks great though.

(edit) found another one, http://powerretouche.com/anti-aliasing.htm. No idea how good it is though.

(edit) or just fake it baby! http://polycount.com/discussion/117524/fpaa-anti-aliasing-post-process-for-photoshop ;)

Gotta give it to "Crytek" and their awesome game engines! They sure were ahead of its time! Finally had a chance to play through SW:Battlefront today for the first time and i couldn't help to notice that Battlefront has amazing foliage/vegetation. Which makes me appreciate Ryse even more, a game that was released in 2013! Game has aged pretty darn good imo, but "Frostbite 3" is no joke.

Still hope that "Crytek" doesn't close all of its studios, as that would be a shame....now bring on Ryse 2!
