NFL Wild Card Playoffs |OT| - It's Time for a SWITCH™

Raiders relocation to Vegas more of a done deal than we think?

Seems to imply a vote may happen before March.

LOTS of Raiders/Chargers relocation talk/rumors out there the last 24 hours:

Raiders would relinquish the rights to L.A. and the owners will vote for the Vegas relocation. Talk is still that they would stay in Oakland for at least two years (I don't buy it), but could move to Sam Boyd stadium (which would add seats and renovate the locker rooms) if the NFL prefers they leave the Oakland market immediately. If this happens, those early season games in Vegas would be ridiculously hot.

Chargers would maintain rights to L.A. but would continue to try and get a stadium done with San Diego with the NFL potentially offering to bridge a deal (100-200 million). This would be paid back over 10-20 years, like a relocation fee. Hopes would be to get a stadium deal done in 2018, if not they would then relocate to L.A., and re-brand the team.

NFL/CBS would broadcast Raider games in the L.A. market for AT LEAST two years as a defacto home market team. This could go longer depending on what happens with the Chargers.

Solomon Thomas plays like 'smaller version' of J.J. Watt

"J.J. was good at Wisconsin, but he wasn't dominant. His motor was relentless and you could see the talent, but it didn't really click for J.J. as far as how to use his strength and power until about halfway through his rookie year," Zierlein said. "Thomas looks a lot like that right now. He's fluid, it looks effortless, he can string moves together. There's a wicked spin move there that he hasn't even fully developed yet. He can move around and play different spots. He doesn't have the arm length of a Watt and he's got to add some mass, but he looks like a smaller version of Watt. Both are physical freaks."

Zierlein said he was impressed with Thomas' play against some of the toughest competition he faced this season, against Notre Dame and Southern Cal. Although Thomas played some along the interior, he drew reps against three of the top tackles in college football in those two games: Chad Wheeler and Zach Banner of USC, and Mike McGlinchey of Notre Dame. Against the Fighting Irish, he recorded a game-high 12 tackles (10 solo) with 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Zierlein posted some impressive action from Thomas in that game via Twitter.

"I think he's a natural 5-tech who can rush the passer. But because he's such a good athlete, if you're an open minded defensive coordinator, you could let him play some 3-tech or even stand him up on the outside," Zierlein added. "He's so good with his hands, he can get to the quarterback from the inside. He won't let guys get a square shot. His hands and feet work in perfect unison and he's always working the blocker's edge. Once he's in that seam, you're finished."

Thomas led Stanford in tackles for loss (13.5) and sacks (7) this season, and was a dominant presence in the Cardinal's Sun Bowl win over North Carolina.

mmmmmmm.....draft talk, plays like Watt.

I don't see how the raiders could play in an open air stadium in August. I think it was still hitting like 115 or 120 in August last year.

It's a no win situation. Play in a city that you are leaving and deal with that chaos, or play in a tiny stadium that will be a billion degrees. Either way it's going to be a rough couple of years if relocation is approved

Sweet tea is great as long as they find a nice balance.

McDonalds? Way too damn sweet
Sonic? Too sweet
Wendy's? About right

Just order it "half n half" or "half cut" to be safe. Half sweet, half un-sweet

Ultimate meal: Smoked pulled pork with barbecue sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese as sides, cobbler for dessert, sweet tea to drink.

At least I'll die happy.

Add in some brisket and hot links to the pork and we can die together! <3

There is a BBQ place about 50 miles form where I currently live that does a "Po Boy style" baked potato. They takes leftover bits of brisket, sausage and pork, combine it, chop it up and place it on like a 3lb. baked potato. Cover it with butter, sour cream, cheese and BBQ! sauce......

Great, it's 10 AM and I'm starving...

I will need some of this comfort food on Sunday I'm sure.

Sweat tea is amazing but horrible for you.

You don't realize how much you are drinking when it is made well.

H20 still the king.

And in a weird twist for once in my life my wife wants an expensive piece of tech and I am against it. She liked this dumb Samsung fridges with the iPads in them that are like 5 grand and now she really wants the new LG friend with an even bigger screen and Alexa as well.

I am going to put my foot down on this one. Maybe I am getting old but that just seems like a huge waste of money with no actual use other than looking awesome.

"Baby I love you but I got a new rug instead"

You are just mad because I have a nice rug and you have Brock Osweiler as your qb.

You'll roll over like you always do, Bionic.

Having a fridge with a 2017 iPad built in would look so tacky in 5 years when they are obsolete. It's like being in a car that has all this technology in the dash that was state of the art in 2000 but looks silly now.

I had a hilarious response but I checked myself because it was just too damn mean.

I will change gears and remark that all the single guys who live by themselves seem to be the leading experts on marriage in this thread. Please continue to forward me your suggestions and I will consider them at an appropriate time.

#Bills QB Tyrod Taylor may be having surgery today, per his Snapchat. Again, if he can't pass a physical by March 11, $$ becomes guaranteed

Take your time, get well later

Unclear if this is an insult to Detroit or Cincinnati...

Detroit Free Press said:
Congratulations, Detroit Lions. You’ve just become the Cincinnati Bengals.

Congratulations, Martha Ford. You’ve become Mike Brown.

And if you’re wondering, neither is a compliment. Just ask any Bengals fan about their team and its owner.

The Lions today said they'll bring back Jim Caldwell for at least one more season. If you’re a Lions fan, you should be worried for several reasons.

This decision suggests that there are troublesome issues behind closed doors. Perhaps a meddlesome owner. Or perhaps a general manager who cares more about pleasing his owner and having job security than about taking a gamble to pursue excellence.

Mostly, Lions fans should be worried about the direction in which this franchise seems comfortable heading. The direction of mediocrity. The direction of the Bengals, who have seen no reason to fire coach Marvin Lewis, who is a whopping 0-7 in the playoffs.

Hola, mis amigos. Just got back from a week in Punta Cana with the fam.

I barely saw a dumpster that wasn't on fire. #paradise

Hey you are a Gophers fan right? I heard on the DA show last night that Chip is going to be considered for their opening.

Welcome home friend!

Would you like to discuss the Vikings shitting their pants after starting 5-0 and then losing the division title to a former 4-6 Packers?

Don't gloat yet. You got Eli coming to town.

What is more embarrassing, losing to Eli or Moore? Either one is going to be really painful and I can see either of our teams blowing it at home.

So we first had R-E-L-A-X, and now we have the Run the table comment. Do the Packers need everyone to question if they're worth a shit before they start playing good football?

There's no shame in losing to playoff Eli

Rodgers is on fire and has a home game. Eli is playing like a backup qb and is being carried by the defense.

If Rodgers lays an egg Packer fans are going to have a tough offseason.

Similarly with the Steelers. If we choke and lose to a backup qb at home it is going to be rough.

Where have I seen that before?

Eli Manning (2016):
CMP % 63.0

INTs 16
Rating 86.0

Eli Manning (

CMP % 56.1

It will take a pretty big collapse by your boys to blow this one. Dolphins defense is a bunch of cobbled together future car salesmen and the offense... well, Matt Moore... Also it's in Pittsburgh and should be pretty cold.
