Still, at 72 episodes it will take some time for a revival to catch up.

At the rate Fuller House is going (26 episodes aired already and it was renewed for a new season that will debut in the spring) it'll catch up to 72 pretty fast.

Always wondered who thought that was a good idea. The target demo doesn't watch tv
It's weird because I think they still have their nightly newscast on HBO. I think they realize that "web money" is basically nonexistent unless you are HuffPo and can get people to work for you for free.

The twist for Drew Barrymore's Netflix show Santa Clarita Diet has been revealed and... well, coming from theguy that made Better off Ted it's not really shocking.

Spoiler of the twist:
Drew Barrymore's character dies and becomes an undead that feeds on raw meat/humans

I was wondering why it was called Santa Clarita Diet...

but it sounds fun, if not derivative.

Wait. Viceland is making a scripted series?
Viceland.

I'm sure that it will go well.

Just swell.

FFS.

Viceland is the new Pivot.

oh they added that Shanara show to netflix, I remember the trailers looking amazing but then I never heard anyone talk about it so Im guessing it bombed?

If you like seeing hot twenty somethings in Game of Thrones cosplay, it's fine. They even have PG-13 sex scenes, just like the grown up fantasy show. Then again I already have a low opinion of Game of Thrones (it's a soap opera for nerds), so I'm probably not the best judge. lol

The actual story itself is basically Star Wars fanficiton (fallen Jedi turning on his father figure) mashed up with a LOTR-style quest to find the magic item.

Does the show do anything interesting with its
post-apocalyptic (IIRC)
setting? That was the only part of the description that sounded appealing to me.

Honestly, it's why I started watching too because of that premise, but while the end game is going to a
former American city
(I'll leave you to discover how they reveal the city if you watch it, because it's silly), it's still very much about elves trying to cure a sick magical tree in between all the sex they have with each other.

For me, in terms of that premise, it's a case of the world building lore being more interesting than the actual narrative of the show itself.

Nooooooooo :( If it goes belly up I'll be sad, so many great shows
There's no reason why that stuff can't be on Youtube. In fact, Huang's show was on Youtube first before they decided to do Viceland.

USA Today Article:

I'm putting it on spoilers but they're apparently going to run ads on the Golden Globes and they are running them already on some tabloids. But just in case.

Between the twist and Olyphant I'm in.

what was that show with the lady from The O.C where she is a doctor in a small town or something?

I need to get me some of that somehow, come on Netflix get your shit together.

Good to see the X-files so high. I hope we get a Season 11 that has a few more episodes than 10 did. Maybe even throw a bone to the "Season 10" comics.

damn AHS gets that high ratings? I guess theyll keep regurgitating it out then?

Gurl... are you serious? Ryan Murphy can squeeze out a turd on live television on FX and FX would still air it.

Never underestimate the power of the gay fanbase that AHS has gotten. (I bailed though, Matt Bomer isn't prominent this season just like last season apparently, not here for side-cameos)

That's a pleasant surprise actually given the somewhat luke warm reception form the critics and fans alike.

..with those numbers, more episodes are a certainty assuming Anderson & Duchovny are willing.

I hope for an 11th season too. I'm watching X-Files for the first time and I'm currently near the end of the seventh season but I still want more. It's become my favourite show of all time!

So Trump wanted to weigh in on the Celebrity Apprentice ratings...

Man, you guys are dropping the ball again:

The Big Bang Theory did amazing as usual. Didn't help The Great Indoors at all. That's a terrible rating considering its massive lead-in.

Superstore and The Good Place are back! And they're doing steadily well.

It's incredibly stable though, so I would imagine they'll probably keep it around.

Unless those are just the people who don't turn the TV off after BBT and the ads don't have conversion to them. Then it's dead. It won't be missed much though.

‘Nashville’ Season 5 Premiere Lifts CMT Ratings

The Season 5 premiere Thursday night drew more than 1.2 million Live+same day viewers on CMT, the network’s most watched original premiere since 2012. The debut notched a .45 (A18-49), up nearly 300% from CMT’s primetime average.

Across three airings — two on CMT and an encore on sibling nick@nite, the fifth season opner averaged nearly two million viewers and a .77 rating in adults 18-49. That was off by 20% from the show’s Live+same day average for its fourth season on ABC and by a tenth from the drama’s Season 4 finale.

Prediction!

Emerald City - 0.7

and miss out on this year's big eeveeeeeeeent?
Nay, good sir!

But I'm cheating and looking at the thread and we already have some gaffers watching, so I imagine it's going to surprisingly higher in the YA and midsection, so I'm going with a whopping 1.2 . Always bet on black, mother****ers! And by black I mean schlock.
And then next episode a sudden drop to 0.6 for the sake of justice. 0.9 if it's amazing schlock.

*gets in formation*

Emerald City - 1.0

Just a 1, flat as the Kansas plains that grizzled but relatable cop Dorthy Gale was swept away from.

Whatever happens to B99 and however its quality has or has not declined, we will always have Amy coming late for work and Holt's HOT DAMN reaction for guessing the reason. :3

BBT is never ending is it?

The spin off is already in the works and this week was sort of a preview, it will be young sheldon and his life in texas in the 90s I presume.

Emerald CIty will rocket to a 2.0+ demo rating as all the youngsters are forced to see what the fuss is all about the yellow brick road
