Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| With Or Without EU

Yeah seem to be doing that a lot lately.
Used to be fantastic, now they lie about stock or have to forward to one of many third party warehouses for dispatch which takes a few days.

They have gone right downhill.

They've always lied about stock.

Yep, it's worth noting my experience was quite a number of years ago now.

But I've heard people say they're still doing it. Not a new thing at all.

Most of my preorder places have Persona 5 for £50 except SimplyGames, where its £43

Are those prices likely to come down?

Also, how do you get access to Izanagi? Read that he was DLC in Japan, but not seen anything about DLC for the Western release. Not that one persona in a game with dozens of them is that important, but he looks pretty badass :P

Yes 1-2 months before release, sometimes a couple of weeks before they drop. They haven't announced any pre order dlc yet, may be included on disc.

Thanks, all. I was kinda expecting this. I feel like GameSeek are going out of business or something and just don't care any more - taking those Switch pre-orders with payments up-front was also suspicious.

They sent me Wind Waker HD selects instead of og version and I'm really just... ugh, just not now, okay.

I'm sure you paid the Selects price, though?

Paid an extra fiver for the Last Guardian 'launch edition' case. Didn't realise it was just a paper sleeve -_-

Thought it might be like my sick SOTC case

Where did you get yours? I bought mine at Shopto, where it was clearly advertised as a sleeve and didn't cost more because of it.

I added the non-Selects version to my basket, carried through with the transaction under the impression that I was purchasing the non-Selects version, then found that the final order ended up being for the Selects version. I tried to cancel immediately, but apparently orders can't be cancelled online.

I already have the game digitally and only bought this copy for my collection. The Selects version has no more value to me than that for which it can be resold. I simply didn't want it.

My MH: Generations order got cancelled due to lack of stock. :(

Seriously considering avoiding base.com in the future. That's the second order in a row they've cancelled out from under me. First was FFXV, which I had pre-ordered for months, then they cancelled on the day before release.

Got mine canceled, too. Pretty bummed out. Why wouldn't they just cancel orders that had tons of copies if HUKD was a problem? Bah.

Anyone have experience with Amazon.co.uk expedited delivery that was delayed? Mine still says expected delivery 9th and UPS tracking hasn't been updated in a week. It just says Ready for UPS. I did already contact Amazon who said that UPS informed them that the parcel is with them but delayed. This was on monday when I inquired about the delivery. Asking directly from UPS, they just say that if the tracking says its not with UPS, its not. I am just starting to think that the parcel is just lost or stolen. Amazon wants me to wait until 20th if it shows up which is a bit crummy as I ordered on 2nd with 2-4 days delivery time. I know it hasn't been that long yet but I did select the more expensive expedited so I could get my order this week.

They should at the very least refund you for the expedite delivery, they're normally proactive with this kind of thing(they do it without you asking), maybe you got a crappy rep.

Dragonball Xenoverse 2's price is holding steady. I think it's the only late 2016 game that hasn't had its price slashed.

Xenoverse 1 on PS4/X1 had pretty great legs as no one expected it to do as well as it did. Xeno 2 will probably hold it's value for a while longer.

Bandai Namco are a bit too sensible for my tastes, they need to make silly projections and over-ship everything like the other publishers.

Cheapest place to get Overwatch, PC digital code only? Best price I can find is 30 quid on the Blizzard store (standard edition), or 32 at cdkeys (Origin edition).

(Out of the UK for the next 6 months, so physical release does me no good).

Edit: Also, how large a download size is it?

anime games tend to hold their prices. was waiting for ages to buy the naruto games on ps3, i ended up buying naruto4 on ps4 on day1, since the games only go down in price, when the successor will launch in a month or two.

i ended up buying overwatch at amazon.fr for 40€
they still ask for at least 60€ in germany.

Yup, through Blizzard. They didn't sell the non-Origins edition outside of battle.net, so the starting point of other sellers is higher.

EDIT: Download is 6.3GB or around there as of June 21st. Might be bigger now with patches, but it's not a massive game.

Those prices are as low as you can get right now.

The download size is approximately 9GB.

Cheers cheers... Will um-and-ah about it a bit more, then. Our internet connection isn't the most consistent, and it seems a bit steep to pay for something I may not always get to play when I want.

Come on EA/Sony, it's time for a 50 % off for the BF 1 PS4 season pass price. Would insta buy at 25 €.

It was down to £30 on Amazon over Christmas. I can't see them discounting it now, as we're only two months out from the first DLC. Got to maximise revenue from that captivated audience.

Do season passes ever drop in price noticeably all that quickly? Feel like they mostly come down when there's maybe a GOTY/Complete edition release of the games out (if they get one) or only after 9-12 months. Prior to that it feels like season passes are rarely in sale and even if they are, they aren't more than 20-30%.

Hey cheapos, is the general quality of the stuff sold in CEX's online store any better than the dewormed, shit-smeared, temporary ashtrays that their retail calls preowned games?

Because a colleague of mine just gave me his launch PS3 and I wanted to stock up on a few things; CEX looks to be way cheaper than Amazon or anything for PS2 stuff at this point.

I've never had a problem with shit smears, but I don't live in a shit hole. You should be OK.

Does anyone know if Game or CEX have issues taking 'grey imports'? I used the CEX website's bar-code scanner to price a bunch of 360 games for price match in Game today, and didn't take down anything that wasn't recognized by it since it was a big haul and I didn't want to slow down the process any more.

Of what's left that didn't scan I think most of them have a bar-code that says 'Made in Europe' (the same as the bar-codes that successfully scanned), but I also have a handful of 'Made in Ireland' and one or two 'Made in Poland's in the mix.

I'm thinking I might chance my arm with a few of the higher value items and then throw the rest to a charity shop if they'll take them.

As far as I know, they cull store stock for online sales (for at least the rarer items, anyways). In any case, never had an issue with either their online or bricks-and-mortar stores. On the contrary, I got the complete Homicide: Life on the Streets "as new" (legit shiny-ass DVDs) just a few weeks back.

Last time I tried this (a couple of years ago or so), they refused to take anything that wasn't BBFC/PEGI stamped. So, 'Made in Ireland" will probably be fine, but anything mainland Europe will most likely be out. Try an indie store, if you have one nearby.

There has been no content from it yet, they aren't gonna put it in sale and screw over everyoone who bought it already.

Stock is from stores, so it really hit or miss.

They take EU copies in CEX, yes. Personally done it.

Website says they take games from PAL regions.

To elaborate a little:

What region media do you buy?

PAL games
Region 2 DVDs that have been BBFC classified or are exempt from classification.
Region 0 DVDs that have been BBFC classified or are exempt from classification.
Region B and Region free Blu-Rays that have been BBFC classified or are exempt.

(From their website)

I think for games that have been classified by the BBFC, they have to have the UK releases with the age rating classification. Worth double-checking, but I can't see them taking, say, a Polish version of GTA V, since it probably leaves them open to legal problems.

They took my UAE copy of Bloodborne, at least I think was UAE.
