The art style is very impressive. The water color effect is beautiful.

I also have yet to see an ugly character design. I thought hideous people were a Zelda tradition... ;-)

Fuck the hardware limitations though. The game is taking place in Beijing. I'm getting a lung disease just looking at the trailer. The very few moments when everything is clear, the colors just pop and everything becomes that much more gorgeous.

Watching some reactions on YouTube and everyone kept seeing Zelda being naked during the back shot.
Even I didn't come to that conclusion. :/

Any indication of dual audio or the ability to change ingame text to another language. Just want to know my options, will be buying the game either way. Might delay the purchase to may as march and April has big games for me and May would make it a wonderful birthday present.

Yeah what is with the ugly ass haze on almost all of that? There was one scene without it and it looked great.

This isn't just the Zelda game everyone's asked for since TWW, it might exceed expectations going by the most recent trailer. Gorgeous Ueda-inspired visuals, a legit sense of wonder and a feeling of adventure, and even *gasp* voice acting! Shit, guess I'm getting a Switch at some point.

Yeah, she's clearly wearing her white robe.

Just like Zelda in Skyward Sword when she visited the same place:

It's almost the same outfit, even:

Trailer looks pretty nice. Feels weird to hear voice acting though lol.

With the Switch being 400$ CAD and not enough interesting games at launch, I'm probably going to play the Wii U version instead... hope it plays well enough.

Where is this game supposed to be happening in the timeline? Almost feels like it's some years after Wind Waker...?

voice acting is gonna be 100% weirder in scenes if they keep going with Link never speaking. Gordon Freeman syndrome.

Very interested but open world fluff still has me cautious. Will most likely day one on Wii U anyway since I don't want to drop money on a new console.

I think it's very obviously placed before Wind Waker (between Ocarina and Wind Waker). This game will most likely not have a happy ending.

So will the Switch version be controllable with the Joy-cons in the grip, the classic controller or just the joy-cons alone? Or is it a choice?

It's definitely not after Wind Waker. Zoras became Ritos in Wind Waker and Hyrule was completely wiped away. Zelda settled a New Hyrule in a different land.

It's looking like between OoT and ALttP. Either Link is the Hero of Time or a hero after the Hero of Time. Great Deku Tree and all of the OoT races are around. There are places from Skyward Sword in this game. Temple of Time is in decent shape.

I think you can play it with Joy cons in any configuration and the Pro controller.

I just want to be able to use the grip config or the Pro controller. And I don't want to have to use the joy-con as a wii remote like in TP Wii. I sooo regretted not getting the GCN version of TP because of those Wii controls.

Damn, this trailer. I will end getting a Switch at launch anyway if this runs even 1% better on it. This game will be incredible.

Was that the Deku Tree talking? What's this 100 years thing? Man this game...

You'll totally be able to play it with them in the grip or either side of the tablet screen. No waggle controls like TP Wii don't worry about that.

Could it be the possible timeline merging theory?

The more we see, the more it looks like its between OoT and ALttP (with new races from previous entries added because they're favourites) or after TP. The reason why after TP is possible is purely because Castle Town is still standing at the end of that game and the mortal form of Ganon (Ganondorf) is killed so when he returns he is a calamity.; the fact that the Temple of Time is in such a good state kind of breaks the idea of it been after TP though. Where ever in the timeline this takes place it is clearly a few hundred years after any previous game due to the rise of Shiekah Technology and the amount of it all over Hyrule.

I was stunned by that cry scene. The emotion and frustration is going through the monitor scene, hitting my heart directly. I need to know who is the VA of Zelda. Simply beautiful.

Shame the eng dub didn't come close to match the JP one. Hope the game has dual audio but since it's Nintendo...

So i'm not going to be getting a Switch first up, but want this game DESPERATELY. Was the Wii U version shown off, is it still coming out same day and is it still looking OK? Not trying to port/console war or beg or whatever, just want to know.

Wii U version is launching the same day as the switch version.

So far the only noticeable differences are 720p on Wii U (as opposed to 900p on Switch) and some possible framerate stuttering.

Same here. I also shed a tear. And im not even buying it.

I've never missed a console Zelda in my life and don't plan to start with this one. I'll have to figure out how to play this without buying one either. Lol. I'll probably borrow a friends Wii U. If it came to it and I had no options tho, I'd buy a switch just for this game and then sell it afterwards
