I have to assume this is sarcasm.

I can't believe that's even a thing. I haven't seen the extended cut though. But I thought BvS was literally worse than Superman III. Like, actually less watchable. The dialog is bad the first time around, but on a second watch it's excruciating.

And MoS is actually one of my favorite superhero movies, so I'm already on a fringe.

Straight up how it is.

BvS is probably worse than SS.

I can get why people don't like BvS/MoS. I also understand if you like AoU (hell, I do). You like Thor 2? Good for you man.

How anyone can like Suicide Squad is still the greatest mystery ever. Fuck that movie. Damn you Ayer.

BvS has a lot.. a LOT of issues but not no where near as shit as SS.

BvS has a load of issues but I still fully enjoy it as well as Thor 2 it "entertained me" but SS is pure shite, I gave it a second chance for the extended edition but it was just as shit, hell it was worse.

Yeah. Even the extra Joker stuff somehow made me like it less, and I thought that was impossible. I have my issues with BvS, which the uncut version made a little better (while simultaneously making me question WHY they cut out some stuff), but SS was just..what?

Did the extra dancing not make it more fun?

I can't recall the Jokers extended scenes as he was just so forgettable.

Never liked Joker or Harley Quinn, easily the least interesting part of the Batman universe.

But Leto took it over the top. he was more of a parody of something then an actual character

What or who is the most interesting part?

Too answer that i have to explain my problems with Joker. DC refuses to define Joker, to show why he does what he does, and what he wants. Then they come up with stupid shit like the joker virus, or joker being an ancient evil or whatever.

Black Mask is cool, Anarky, ra's al ghul, Lady Shiva, and Bane.

Not that good but I love them anyway The Mudpack, and Killer Moth

I expected him to say

Ha cha cha cha

at some point..

He was doing a bad imitation of The Mask

She dumps it in a well, then when they mention in the battle that they need it, suddenly she goes back for it and almost drowns trying to get it back. You missed the part where she suddenly realizes she needs to go back for it in your explanation.

Here's what I wrote:

I swear BVS might be too smart for some people or maybe people bitch about movies they weren't paying attention to. Oh and to answer the question why did Lois come back for the spear. What was she supposed to do, take it home with her so her bf can be less super? Maybe give it to the govt, "hey incase you wanna harm my bf, take this for safe keeping". ]As for how she deduced it was Kryptonian, the Kryptonian ship was drawing a lot of power, out comes this beast from the Kryptonian ship, it flies like a Kryptonian, oh and it shoots eye beans like a certain Kryptonian. Jesus people pay attention to movies you bitch about or just admit it's too smart for you. RDJ claimed the Dark Knight was too smart for him and there was nothing wrong with that.

Also Superman not only saw the nuke coming he held doomsday in a chokehold as the damn nuke came but thanks for playing.

I actually like that about the character. We follow Batman's exploits, and the Joker is as much of a mystery to him as Batman is a mystery to everyone outside of the Bat-Family. So, like people questioning if Batman is even human, you have the same thing ocurring with the Joker. I think the vagueness is more interesting - I even find the recent '3 Jokers' idea in the comics interesting, because Batman is a role that has been assumed by multiple people, so why couldn't the Joker be the same thing?

It makes for a better parallel between the characters, I think.

I'll defend the Martha scene, it's Bruce realizing that Superman is kinda human. He has a mother, he has a person close to him he needs to save. He feels emotions, he is not some emotionless terminator. He is like us. That scene isn't what's wrong with the movie.

This is what they intended but 2 problems: 1. A minute before "Martha" Bruce verbally acknowledges Clark has parents and proceeds to tell him he doesn't give a shit, 2. Batman has been running around killing normal dudes with mommies up until this point and doesn't care. Seconds away from accomplishing his goal only to stop because a common name was mentioned is stupid on its own, with the above I don't see why people try and argue it. It was obvious what they wanted with the heavy handed flashbacks throughout the movie, just falls flat due to poor writing. There is a similar fuck up in mos when Clark screams at the end.

That entire showdown has a whole host of problems: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsGpdzHTXtg, Martha is just the easiest thing to shit on it for.

It's wierd that people felt the need to actually do a video breakdown to show that Superman could have easily said something about Martha before.

People have argued that Batman kept interrupting him or that he didn't get a chance, but Superman kept putting in filler sentences in there instead of just flat out saying what the problem was. Instead of "I was wrong" or "Bruce!...You don't understand...." just say "They have my mom"

It's almost comedic, the dialogue. Superman is trying to talk Batman down, but he literally seems to struggle to get the sentences out AND he's escalating the fight by assaulting Batman while he's doing it. It's like Superman's character is literally trying to break free from the script, but Snyder's writing is forcing him to fight Batman against his will.

That didn't explain how she knows what's happening in a battle taking place in a completely different part of the city that she hasn't been a part of, which is the complaint that I brought up.

She saw that a lot of power was being drawn from all parts of the city except where the kryptonian ship was being held. She saw Doomsday come out of the area. She saw Doomsday use his eye beams

Nah... BvS has a LOT of fucking problems, but it atleast attempted to tackle some interesting ideas and had acouple cool sequences. Even if it turned out to be a real fucking mess.

Suicide Squad is nonsensical, ugly, pointless, and so fucking try-hard that it fails to achieve any single thing it sets out to do.

Fanboyism. Plain and simple.

We just need to see the light.

It isn't even "proper fanboyism". It's just tribialism at its purest state. People wanting for their side to win over the other (In this case the MCU) by defending this movies at all cost. That cost of course includes character development, coherent plot, pacing and editing, overall tone of the movie, etc.

A "proper" DC fanboy would probably be more concerned about how their beloved characters are being portrayed and the stories being told in this big blockbusters. They would be concerned about how the DCEU deviates from the identity and core of these superheroes, but apparently these new fanboys are more concerned about how cool some action scenes look and the kick ass soundtrack so they take WB's direction as the right one when it comes to superheroes movies.

At the end, you get what you get. Murderman, Superman being more insecure than a teenager, an autistic lex, Critical panning, suboptimal box office performances and a bunch of people saying that everyone is against DC movies.

That's actually hilarious.

If it were Superboy or Deadpool, they could have actually done it.

SS is infinitely better than that snoozefest

Not that either are good but I would agree that I found BvS worse than SS.

This is really the only meaningful debate regarding the DCEU: Arguing over which movie sucks more.

For the record, I despise SS only slightly less cause at the very leas it didn't put me to sleep.

It's a conspiracy. They hate us cuz they ain't us. They just love the bubblegum drivel that is the Marvel movies. Audiences don't want substance, they just want to turn their brain off. They aren't used to turning their brains on for a comic book movie.

There is a 95% chance at least 10 posters on this forum have said this

SS was less disappointing to me than BvS since BvS didn't live up to the hype...but man that movie needed more time, the editing, story, most characters and action in SS needed work!!!
