Yeah, seems like it should be an easy slam dunk.
The mindset of the dev team should be "Hey, we have an amazing opportunity here. We can do for Wonder Woman what Arkham Asylum did for Batman."
Tons of gear and equipment to unlock new combat and traversal mechanics. Her Lasso even lends itself well if you want to implement the Nemesis system. At the end of the day, it should be a love letter to the fans of the character the same way Arkham Asylum was. All the little easter eggs hidden in the environments and doing justice to the various villains.
All that being said, based on the quote you guys posted "the world really needed the story we were telling" it would seem that the dev team may have been infiltrated by these activist weirdos. I am pretty sick of their bullshit at this point. They suck at writing likeable characters. There is a reason the first Wonder Woman movie was a success while the followup was a complete disaster.
Who knows....maybe more info will come out so we can actually find out just how bad it was going to be. But yeah, it seems like what should have been a home run turned into a convoluted mess somewhere in development. Monolith, similar to Bioware, is most likely just a name now with most of the old guard having left (or gone insane).

I like Wonder Woman ever since I saw her in the 2000s Justice League and Justice League Unlimited which came afterwards plus most of the animated DC movies afterwards. So I was actually looking forward to this cause it had a bunch of potential. Sure it might be woke and all but on the chance that it wasn't too shoved in and actually had decent looking characters similar to BG3's characters than I would have really liked this game still. This is probably the superhero type game I was looking forward to the most more so than Spiderman 3 or Wolvewine etc.

If you don't know much, she's like female super-man, but better in the sense that she has no problem ending with whoever mess with her, which makes her better than super-alien with the heart of gold and his convoluted stories to make him interesting
And that's the problem with these characters, how you make them interesting in a game when they're all omnipotent mary-sues?

Different warriors showing up during big fights with cool little intros with them being updated with new gear/moves/looks so it feels like a living world where teammates are actually out doing shit instead of being static puppets
