I guess it won't arrive on time but it changes to £260 so almost £20 off.
Not sure its worth it considering Ill need to buy a plug switch and it'll be ugly![]()

Still is a small difference if you want to justify the extra hassle in support, warranties and stuff.
So, I got my Preorder on amazon.de in, and the one on amazon.fr.
Unless amazon.de doesn't match the french prices I'll just cancel that order. Launch delivery be damned. I'm basically saving a good 60 bucks on my order if I buy it from France. Basically gets me an extra game for the same price. Just insane.
I can wait a week for delivery.

I'm not even sure you have to wait if you're in Germany; Amazon.fr actually has warehouses in Germany and it's usually the same as if you order from Amazon.de iirc

So, is Amazon.fr the only one cutting the price? Shouldn't the others (Amazon.de/it/es) follow suit to match the price?
Amazon.fr simply matched other french retailers, not sure if other amazons are supposed to match a different country prices? Is that how it usually goes?
I've caved in and bought it from amazon.fr even got my Neon Version instead of the Grey one, which I absolutely regretted not getting before. So as a german resident and permanent prime user, who gets the package from germany, will it be here the 3rd of March or can I expect it to arrive later than that?
Keep the order. Try to get the 178€ price (price guarantee) if not just send it back
Yeah, if amazon.de goes to a similar difference (about 15 to 20 Euros) I'll stick with that order. But not for nearly 60 Euros difference.Ordering from amazon.fr would only save me 14 euros compared to amazon.es and I would probably get the system 1 week later at least... doesn't seem worth it to me.
There's no price quarantee on pricing errors.
Amazon.de refunded my french NSMBU on WiiU launch.Hardware boxes/manuals should be multi-lingual, so that's unlikely to be a problem. Zelda on the other hand will almost definitely have a French box though.

Its highly doubtful that the "pricing error" clause kn the GTCs are valid pursuant to german law
I checked and my WiiU box and some game cases have English and French text.Did it have French box text?

They are valid. Pre-orders don't constitute a buying contract. That is only the case once you actually pay. As of now, it's a reservation, not a contract, so price guarantee for pricing errors doesn't apply.
Yes thats why i say keep the order. Once amazon ships the contract is valid and the pre order guarantee applies. The provision regarding pricing errors is too vague and is likely to be invalid meaning that the terms of the price guarantee will apply with the following text
Whenever you pre-order an item eligible for our Pre-order Price Guarantee, the price you pay will be the lowest price offered by Amazon between the time you place your order up to and including the release date, (where the item has a stated release date), or the date the item is dispatched or electronically fulfilled (where the item does not have a stated release date).

330€...really close to that ideal 299€ price I wanted with Zelda now.

But yeah KooopaKid, add anything else from gaming to that and youll get 30 back. Personally I added a Switch Accessory set, since I was going to get it anyway.

With the money on the card, I need to make another purchase on their website and then can use that money, or how does it work?
It will be added in your Fnac wallet and you'll be able to spend it on your next purchase at fnac.com.
Is it available even after canceling the FNAC+ account?
Oh? I used it a couple of hours ago.
Surprised it is still available for preorder at Amazon.fr.

That may be bullshit but anyway : I read on a french forum someone saying he had insiders sources from Nintendo telling him there were around 110 000 consoles day one
Fnac and Amazon got 35 000 each. Fnac didn't sell 35 000 pre orders yet but Amazon did sell everything with a 20% surplus. So lots of people may not get the console day one if there isn't any added supply. The first who preordered will get it, others will have to have resupply.
Demand probably isn't that high. There are some Switch-related items running out of stock and coming back in stock, so it's probably not a mistake. France probably just have a large stock allocation.
