At this point I'm not confident that Amazon.fr will have enough stock for all orders at launch, especially since they don't seem to have a limit on how many you can order per customer.

I contacted Amazon FR today and they said my order will definitely be arriving on release day. Also, they said that the price should update too, and that there is no need to cancel and re-order.

EDIT: Having a hard time believing that second part. I'm tempted to just cancel and change to the Neon one and get Zelda 'seperately'. It's a €1/€2 difference so....

Tempted to try this with Amazon.fr with my Amazon.uk order here, but worried about the plug (and language differences on the box). Getting stuck with a French Switch would mean ebay hassles...

You can change the system language easily, but for ebay you would have to include the plug, I guess.

Yeah, ideally I'd want Amazon to take it and avoid ebay if possible. Not sure that £20 saving is worth the headache and ebay fees if Amazon realises I'm sending back a French Switch rather than the UK one I got from them.

I'd go for the Neon in a heartbeat if i could easily 'hide' the console. Seeing as the dock kinda demands prominent display underneath my rather clean and minimalistic TV rack, i can't go for a design as colorful as the Neon Switch.

totally. It looks super duper rad, don't get me wrong. It's just too 'loud' for my TV setup. It's not about what i think looks neater, but what's gonna be less of an eyesore in the living room

I don't even have a TV and will use it as handheld only. And yeah I agree about the doggy. I don't think the doggy like great either way though :/

My zelda bundle preorder on amazon.fr is stuck at EUR 363,38 (including EUR 5,38 shipping to Germany) as well. Should we wait if they update the price or just cancel and place a new preorder?

Tried to order a second one and indeed got a message that you can only order one per person and adress.

Just cancelled and placed another pre-order. Still got the same delivery date (March 07th-08th).

France is Nintendo's biggest market. I'd guess that most Europeans use Amazon Germany to import the Switch to their country.

On the flip side, after rebates and added value and whatnot the best value I got so far is about 344€ for console and Zelda, and that’s to Finland so it’s amazing. To France this would have easily been 304€ €320, which is basically almost Wii ballpark. Damn.

Sorry, maths is hard for me apparently, as I was trying to roughball take out the costs that I thought I had to pay for shipping and whatnot, but apparently they are not that large.

About €320 for France is the accurate value. 300 for the console + 50 for the game - 30 euro rebate.

I pre-ordered the blue/red console with Zelda as soon as it became available, and right now I am only going to pay 352 euros. That's good.

Going from almost 400 euros to 350 euros is a good difference.

Depends on where you are, but should be able to get better from Fnac.com. The bundle is now 350 and they also have a 10€ per 100€ voucher rebate going on if you have Fnac+ (which you can get a trial for free and then cancel the automatic renovation ASAP).

Get Amazon.de order on launchday and keep it.
Send Amazon.fr order back to Amazon.de once you receive it and get the full refund of the higher price.

This is exactly how I did it with my WiiU preorder back in the day.
It was a similiar situation were Amazon.fr was much cheaper then Amazon.de.

Hardware boxes/manuals should be multi-lingual, so that's unlikely to be a problem. Zelda on the other hand will almost definitely have a French box though.

Smartphones typically have Gorilla Glass. Not so sure about Switch, probably won't knowing Nintendo.

I never used on my iPhones either and I regret I didn't on my current 6s+, as its glass is soft as hell, much softer than previous ones.

I'm not sure what to expect from the Switch's glass but if even Nintendo is including a protector with the accessory kit I'm going to run with it for now and later decide if I remove it depending on the reports of those without it.
