So far the gifs aren't that crazy, she is acting shocked so its safe to assume they weren't really expecting that kind of speech, I mean, she is not the only one shocked, it's just that she is the only one who isn't that good at hiding it.

I swear people hate on Winona just because.
 
What a tremendous & poweful speech, wow. That made me both want to get up & join a protest nearby, & drop some acid.

She looks very confused to me, and while the speech might have been surprising, it sure wasn't confusing. To think that she might have been on something isn't that much of a crazy guess.
 
David Harbour is one of the most down to earth actors out there. Amazing speech.

Also while, yes, Winona may be on drugs, i wouldn't put it past her that she's just goofy like that. She seems to be the kind of person you'd love to have as an aunt.

Lol I kid, always liked ryder. But considering her past I hope she's ok and just goofing off on stage.

And please stop saying Winona is tripping. She just looks a little tipsy and having fun. Just because her godfather is Timothy Leary doesn't mean she doses at award ceremonies.
 
Matthew Modine seems to be holding her as if he knew she was a liability when they got onstage. Like you would a child who could go rogue at any second.

The sad thing is thinking boldly NOT watching a show makes a statement of some kind. It's like the rock bottom of slacktivism next to declaring you're unfriending/unfollowing someone on social media.

Just watched the speech earlier. Incredible stuff, but I have to wonder if Ryder's expressions was that maybe she's a Trump supporter feeling awkward in the crowd? I have no idea what her political affiliation or feelings on matters are.

I don't understand what Winona was doing. It was really annoying and distracting to watch. So much so that I remember that more than I do David's message.

I think it's because she was actively detracting from a powerful, passionate speech by making goofy faces throughout that people are poking a bit of fun.
