Yes, if the drive is USB Powered. I use a couple of 1 and 2tb drives on my PS4, and now my PS4Pro, and they work great. Neither had a power supply!

Gave this a very quick test.

Cinema mode.
Not sure what you mean wrt using the camera for tracking.
3D effect seems fine and convincing, although no settings/sliders I could find.

Other notes:

Image and sound ONLY output to the PSVR and its audio out. The TV screen stays black and mute.

As for the drift, right now, cinema mode doesn't use the camera at all. So the lights on the helmet are turned off, and the camera doesn't track it. However, many people experience the screen starting to slant/turn to the side while they are watching in cinema mode. There was a thinking that using the camera could help stabilize that. Seems that isn't something Sony did.

Was this added in a previous update, when I've redownloaded a game when I press options in it I now have upload/download saved data at the top so I don't have to dig into the settings to redownload my save pretty cool. Not sure if it's new or that I never noticed it before

I don't want shit moving, I don't want 3D objects with shitty shimmering edges or colour banding. Visibility always suffers. Like in your second video, the text isn't even readable.

Give me just a flat colour, subtle texture or a static smooth blur gradient or something. Those are my jam, and i'd LOVE to have these on my PS4.

The same as usual. When you have the external plugged in the games show up on the XMB as normal, and can be updated or whatever. When done, it's patched, and doesn't have to be patched again if you plug it in on another PS4.
