It's easy enough if people quote that original message but if anyone feels like doing that feel free It's honestly not needed though, I've got a tab open at the latest post being helped. #988 just now, though On Demand is waiting for wowzors who was earlier in queue but had to originally head out before.

Anyone can do this with a code as well just so everyone knows. I know most of you probably want to redeem it on your main account, but it really makes no difference. If you make a "burner" account you can share it around like so. A GAFer supplied me with a beta code.

Good idea in principle. I mean I won't be around too much longer and I will need to basically say pass on yourselves once finished to the next in the queue.

So is the external drive gonna work just like it does on the XBOX ONE? I have a 2TB internal drive in my PS4 PRO still have about 1.33 remaining..so I would just connect the drive, and whenever I Download a game I can send it to the external drive? Now just have to find a good external drive

You should only need it for the destination ssd. Just do a backup to the external, put the update on the ssd then backup from the external to the ssd. Thats similar to how i transfered from my standard to my pro.

ah i see, think i misread earlier lol. Well at least this firmwars is going to cure all these kind of headaches. I had a similar problem, i had 2tb in my ps4, had to go out and buy another to allow the transfer to my pro without needing to download again. Could have saved some money had this firmware been out then.

I hope people in the beta forum are complaining about this. Doubt they'll change anything back either way.

Ok, so here's the plan for my jump from Internal SSHD to Internal SSD + External HDD

1. Download Beta firmware when my turn comes up

2. Send all system storage to the external HDD

3. If I can get on the beta account again: Install the SSD, and download beta firmware again

4. Plug in the external HDD and hope it recognizes it and allows me to pull over key software and save data to the SSD

The external HDD should be formatted by the console, if that doesn't work, you might wanna look into the Sony Beta forum and ask there.
