Hey, if you feel like updating the thread title, The Insider has been canceled.

You know, the Insider.

No, not Extra.

Not Inside Edition.

Not Access Hollywood.

Not E! News.

The Insider.

Sadly, there's like 3 more shows like it. Not named in your list.

How could I forget

Dish Nation

Celebrity Page

Entertainment Tonight

TMZ on TV

All those are shows that are not canceled because the Insider is canceled.

Agents of Shield rebounding!

Now it's neck and neck with Legends

Adding to the list, Netflix renews Love for season 3. Seems like they will drip out these announcements during the day.

Don't Netflix commissions come with a second season already including in the original pick up? It doesn't really seem like that big of a deal unless they bring it back for a third season
No.
I mean they've renewed every (?) original show so far for a second season, but they don't order 2 seasons at a time as far as I know.

I'm assuming the bump in ratings is because people fell asleep in front of the TV still exhausted from partying at Superbowl parties on Sunday.

Well I am just going to hope that those people woke up in the middle of the show and realized it's great and stick with it!

(Season 5 plz.)

Gonna steal a joke from myself on Twitter a few weeks ago

But if there's a season 5, it better be about Scarlet Witch because only strong magic would explain it

Hey! Flesh & Bone had potential! The finale was kinda bad and it lost steam around Episode 5 but it started strong dammit!

I'm not Canadian so I have no connection to Anne of Green Gables. I know it's about an orphan girl and they're in bumblefuck Canada and that's it. I'll probably give it an episode or 2. It can't be a bigger waste of time than Santa Clarita Diet, so that's a positive already

As someone with no knowledge of how TV is produced, shouldn't we start to hear casting about Inhumans and Black Lightning soon if they're to start filming.

Almost. Pilot season will be starting soon so something like Black Lightning will be taped in March or so. They might announce cast at that point or wait until May for the pick up announcement. It will start real filming in July if it airs in the fall. Inhumans is already picked up so it can start later.

This season has kinda sucked tbh. The first season is incredible and absolutely worth watching though. Even my husband, who hates rom-com stuff, loved it.

I'm 3/4 of the way through the first season and love the hell out of it! I'm watching it slow on purpose, so everything means more, haha.

Sure seems that way.

The thread in off-topic is hilarious though. "Why is this mostly-intended-for-press/investors/professionals panel so boring?" "Why are they discussing the shows?" "Where is mah E3??"

And their Julie Andrews show looks way too delightful, though that might just be my gayness talking.

I'm always interested in the inside baseball stuff of networks and panel discussions, so seeing Netflix do the same in their own way is super interesting (even though they still show up to TCA and such). But it's definitely not for everyone!

Also, good to hear Travelers got picked up. I only watched the first two and meant to catch back up, but since I'm in Canada it's no longer on Showcase's site to stream, and also isn't on Netflix.

I wish this was more geared towards adults...

It could be a fun show when drinking or when coming home late.

Has anyone gathered all the information that came out of the Netflix show in a single post? All I know about is that Bill is back tv show and the Castlevania tv show planned for this year.

Thanks for this! I went to their Youtube page to see what they got coming too, and there's not much interesting so far. I'll probably check out Casting JonBenet, Girlboss, Dear White People and Anne.

Remember guys, the Netflix docu-series Abstract: The Art of Design starts up tomorrow too. It's a series with architects, illustrators etc. explaining and taking you through their designs. One of the place were shot here in Denmark I see.
